Kokomo Welcomes Vegans

This restaurant has a lovely vibe. A nice ambiance & a great mix of music, that is not too loud and aids digestion.
There are plenty of vegan starters and entrees on both the brunch and dinner menus.
So far, I've had Koko's vegan bowl, jackfruit tacos and the vegan mushroom ravioli.
All were delicious!

Pros: Plenty of vegan options , Nice vibe, Pleasant and attentive staff

Caribbean with vegan options

We tried Kokomo's for the first and got the order to go so maybe not 100% fair to judge on this experience but it was expensive for what it was and they forgot to include the coconut jasmine rice that came with my dish (but included 3 sets of plastic utensils we didn't need!) so it was a disappointment for me. I had read good things about the place and it looks cute from the exterior so I had high expectations. I think if you're not vegan then you're up for a better experience but I do appreciate they have several actual vegan items on the menu and not just 'make it vegan' by leaving dairy or meat out. We had the Jackfruit Tacos which come 3 to an order for $16.00 and were delicious. The Roasted Stuffed Sweet Plantains were also 3 to an order for $16.00 but these were surprisingly small pieces for the price, I liked the mix of savory with sweet but I think I need to face up to the fact I'm just not a person who likes plantains, no fault of the food here, my partner found them to be tasty. The big let down was my entree, the Lentil Meatballs with Coconut Curry Sauce that as mentioned were supposed to be served with Coconut Jasmine Rice for $27.00 but I just had 6 lentil meatballs in curry sauce, which had a good flavor but was not that satisfying as a meal. I will give this place another try sometime with a dining in experience and report back!

Pros: Creative vegan items on the menu, Flavorful food made with fresh vegetables

Cons: Some dishes seem a bit overpriced for what you get, Lack of attention to details with to go order!
