Like most other NYC bagel shops

To say that the bagels here are like those you’ll find in other NYC bagel shops is not necessarily a criticism—since all NYC bagel shops have great bagels, and they all offer vegan cream cheese (including many that are not listed on HC). Since I live nearby, I go to this branch of Kossars all the time when I am very hungry and want a filling (if non-nutritious) meal. But there is little that distinguishes this place from a HappyCow perspective. In contrast, the bagel shop across the street offers more vegan options.

Note that this is a branch of the famous Kossars whose flagship store is in the Lower Eastside. I might be influenced by sentimental factors, but from what I recall the Lower Eastside Kossars offers tastier bagels and bialys than this one.
