Great food, lovely ambience - Edit
Honestly, this place is great all around. It’s 100% vegan, the menu is varied and well thought out, and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. Everything we tried was really tasty. The atmosphere is stylish but has a homey feel. The service was also great, and we were happy with every single dish. Getting to pet their cat Üç Buçuk (“Three and a Half”) was definitely the highlight of the day. I did find the prices a bit on the higher side, but with inflation these days, it’s hard to tell what’s normal anymore!

Highly recommended soul food - Edit
This lovely vegan restaurant is perfectly located in the heart of Kadıköy, inside a charming historic building. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, especially in the cosy back garden. I tried the shepherd’s pie and a celery soup with coconut milk, both rich, comforting, and clearly made with care. As a long-time vegan, finding truly satisfying soul food can be hit or miss, but Kumin Vegan Lezzetler absolutely nails it with a hearty, thoughtful menu. Friendly service, great flavours, and a place you’ll want to linger in. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We ate well, the place is really welcoming with a homely atmosphere. Perhaps the cost is a little excessive compared to the quality

Great food and service - Edit
Had the aubergine topped with lentils, tomato and tahini for my main and vegan ice cream for dessert. Quiet private garden setting at the back of the building. Staff really helpful and committed to what they do.

Pros: Plaats ver van de drukte, 100% vegan
Cons: Duurder dan Europa, mag meer zijn voor die prijs, Presentatie salade op het zelfde bord is niet klas, Rijst mag met een form mag komen en niet smashed

A chilled out haven away from the sensory overload of the busy streets and bazaars of Istanbul. The fully vegan menu was amazing and everything definitely lived up to expectations.

Good food, cozy atmosphere - Edit
The restaurant is located in a nicely decorated house, which makes the atmosphere cozy.
Read moreThe food was good but I expected a little bit more based on the previous comments. Everything was tasty and freshly prepared but I expected to be more surprised.
I arrived quite early (15 min after opening) and my first choices were not available (I was told it would by ready later in the afternoon), which was also a little bit disappointing

Amazing - Edit
Another review said the prices were unreasonable but idk what they’re talking about, it was very much on par with the other vegan spots I’ve been to here. I had the meatball sandwich which wasn’t as much of a meatball sandwich as it was a veggie burger. Didn’t matter though, it was delicious. I had the Ayran rice pudding drink too and I’m used to sugar bombed American yogurt so I expected it to be sweet. It was not sweet and it was not for me, but it was still cool to try a vegan version of a drink I’ve never even heard of. Amazing service as well.

Lovely atmosphere - Edit
Great atmosphere in a cozy backyard. We had the friendliest stuff in all of Istanbul. Great vegan Ayran and we tried the vegan pizza, steamed kibbeh with lentil filling, meatballs with mashed potatoes and rice (a lil weird combination 😄) and a air fried oyster mushroom dürüm. Loved the fresh salad inside, but the mushrooms weren’t crispy and there was a little bit of sauce missing. It‘s overall more of a healthy option 😉

Ok average food but expensive - Edit
Had a cute garden, food was ok, but in my opinion not worth the money and portions coul've been larger.
Read moreThey charge 10% serving fee so keep that in mind when viewing the prices. I missed that and was surprised about the bill.
The dumplings were börek with rice yoghurt which was not hitting my taste and the wrap was a bit dry and plain, there was something missing in them.
I would rather recommend other restaurants in Istanbul.

Your comment has saddened us deeply. Compared to many vegan restaurants in Istanbul, our prices are quite reasonable. You can also be sure of the quality of the food you eat. Additionally, you’ve made a very negative comment about us charging extra money, which is a very sensitive and ethical matter. Charging extra money is out of the question. I’ve reviewed our past accounts (to see if we made a mistake), and there is no any mistake in the accounts. I understand that you may not have read the footnote at the bottom of each page of the menu stating that “a 10% service charge is not included in the bills.” I wish you hadn’t made such a comment without being sure. It’s very upsetting.

Hey, I unsderstand that. But I have a few things to add
Read moreI have eaten daily in vegan restaurants in Istanbul over the past week.
The 10% fee only occured twice, once written big on the menu and on a big blackboard that is not too miss. With your menu, I missed it. So thats fair, still I think the note that I only found now looking back on the digital menu is quite small. I will edit out the comment about overcharging in this case.
Next on pricewise, your food was the second most expensive meal of my trip and in my ranking it is not second place. In contrast to the most expensive one that was the best. So for me personally, the food was not worth this price and in my opinion, comparing to other restaurants that I visited.

Oh and I am not speaking about food quality. I am sure you use good ingredients. I am speaking about taste. About texture, spices and so on, just in general about the composition.

So far, we haven’t had any issues with the note at the bottom of the menu not being noticed. However, I will still take that into consideration. Additionally, there are hardly any negative comments regarding the high prices and the quality and taste of our food. Of course, we don’t claim that everyone will like our food. But, overall, it makes us very happy to see it being appreciated. Thank you for your comment. Also, I appreciate your courtesy in reconsidering your comment about overcharging.

As a frequent customer here, I believe the review here is misleading. Firstly, everything truly has a unique and special taste. Everything is prepared meticulously, in a gourmet manner. I find the portions quite satisfying, and I'm not someone who gets full easily. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of ingredients used and the flavors offered, some dishes are even more affordable than market standards. When I spoke with Serkan chef-the owner, I learned about the effort and dedication put into sourcing their olive oils and cashews, which made me appreciate their commitment even more. I think this attention to detail, sweet courteous atmosphere, and staff, along with the wonderful garden, warm, and intimate ambiance, truly deserve the recognition they deserve..
