Satisfying in every way! - Edit
We will be back! I had a puffy wrap that is a homemade tortilla that puffs up in the oven. Everything they make from their hot sauces to their dressings are made in house. Even their margarita mix was made in house which was just absolutely delicious.
Read moreThey have an extensive vegan menu with plenty of options. I highly recommend. And most all their meals come with two sides. I ate the salad before I could take a photo but it was AMAZING.
Owner is a 10/10. This is not a typical tex mex place. This business puts love and soul into their latina food. You won't get the chips and salsa but you'll good high quality food and drinks!
Would highly recommend.

Ask For The Vegan Menu - Edit
Extensive vegan menu. I had the guacamole that was topped with vegan chorizo and jalapenos and a few other items for an appetizer and it was delicious. It came with chips. For my entree I had a bowl that was full of white rice, vegan refried black beans, some vegan cheese, avocado and some other stuff. It was great and came with two sides. The side salad is a great choice. I ate there last night and could easily go back tonight but I can't miss Rosetta's while I'm in town so that'll be tonight.

Incredible vegan menu, so many options, flavorful and fresh. (Ask for the vegan menu when you walk in the door.) Our food was so tasty. Love the vegan chorizo and the lime cilantro dressing. Great service and easy parking too. Also pretty affordable for a dinner out in Asheville. Highly recommend.

10/10 authentic vegan mexican - Edit
Seriously some of the best vegan food I've ever had. They have an entire vegan menu with dozens of entrees and sides. The owner came out and chatted with us about how it is all made separately and he seems to really care about being inclusive to vegans. Would rate this higher if I could.

Separate prep and kitchen - Edit
Visiting Asheville and was suggested this place on Facebook page. Tacos were so good, place was super and staff and manager were so nice. The manager did inform us that for people with allergy restrictions and vegans they use a separate kitchen so they don’t cook in the same area where there’s meat and there’s no possibility of cross contamination.
Read moreI had the tacos and will be back in a few days to try their quesadilla. Their vegan menu is quite extensive. Price was great as well.

Go to Mexican spot for vegans - Edit
I’d give this 5 stars, but Happy Cow won’t let me because it’s not fully veg. But it does have a very robust vegan menu with a ton of options, including impossible meat and a vegan chorizo. This is one of my favorite spots in Asheville. The food is incredible and the staff are always so nice. The portions are generous, and they have a ton of vegan options outside of just a bean burrito, which makes it easy to go with a group with garroting dietary needs. Highly recommended.

Vegan Menu! - Edit
Fun atmosphere. Ask for the vegan menu, there are about ten entrees and several sides for vegans. Vegan chorizo is super spicy and yummy. Big portions, we had two entrees for two of us and couldn’t eat it all. So take it easy on the chips!

Ask for vegan menu when you arrive. There are SO many options. They have the best chorizo I’ve ever had. Staff was quick and friendly. The restaurant clean. I will absolutely make a point of coming here again when I visit in the future. I would give 5 stars if I could.

Great food made from scratch, clearly labeled menu - Edit
I’ve been here a number of times now and have never been disappointed. Ask for the vegan menu when you’re seated.
Read moreTheir side salad is one of my favorites in town! I also always get the yucca fries.
The owner is incredibly kind and takes a lot of pride in his restaurant. If you’re gluten free, most of the menu is GF (he told us his grandmother had celiac, and many of the recipes are hers!). Service is also always good and food comes out quickly and is reasonably priced with good portions.
The menu is a little different than standard Mexican fare because they are from southern mexico - so while you won’t find fajitas you’ll find some really really excellent things worth trying. The burrito is always good but you really can’t go wrong!

La Rumba is one of our favorites in Asheville! They have a totally separate Vegan/Vegetarian menu (ask for it when being seated)! The Vegan Nachos are sooo good! The Vegan Burrito is a favorite! We love La Rumba! Should be a 5 star option for this one!

Great Menu and Food - Edit
First time at this restaurant. A little difficult to get to after the hurricane but worth the effort. Excellent vegan menu, great corn appetizer, excellent service and great food. I would give a five star rating but happy cow does not allow for a mixed food place.

I guess I didn't realize that you had to ask for a separate vegan menu. When I had to veganize a nonvegan choice, you would think they would have offered it?

Excellent vegan menu, made mistakes - Edit
The vegan menu was fantastic. The meal that I got - A Al Mexicana with Chorizo, beans, and rice - was one of the best Mexican meals that I have ever had. I also asked them to make their Pink Paloma spicy for me and they nailed it.
Read moreDespite ordering from their vegan menu they unfortunately made a couple mistakes bringing me a non-vegan side sauce with my fried yucca and cheese on the beans. They fixed them both quickly but be aware that just because you're ordering off the vegan menu, it doesn't mean you can let your guard down. That being said they had just opened after hurricane Helene and maybe this isn't typical.

Great vegan Mexican fare! - Edit
We found this place on the Happy Cow app and were happy we did. It was close to what we were and where we needed to go and has a lot of gluten free and vegan options. The menu is really well labeled with gluten free options. But you'll need to ask for the vegan menu if you want the designated dishes. Most of the menu items on the vegan menu are also gluten free, so the was immensely helpful.
Read moreWe decided to split the Enfijoladas with the fried yucca and grilled veggies as our two sides. My husband got a beer and I got tyke skinny margarita. Everything was delicious and extremely filling. We were so glad the we didn't split 2 dishes because we couldn't have done it.
The location is a bit odd, as it's in a strip mall. But the staff and food were phenomenal, as was the atmosphere. So don't let that fool you. If you're in the area and looking for some good vegan Mexican fare, they are definitely worth checking out!
Pros: Lots of vegan choices, Very helpful staff, Good prices

Amazing vegan menu! - Edit
I had such a great vegan meal at La Rumba! I really appreciated the vegan street corn as a free appetizer! The portion sizes were huge and food was delicious. My only recommendation for them would be to put a note on the regular menu that there is a vegan menu available upon request. If I didn’t know about the vegan menu from this site, I would have had to ask a lot of questions about ingredients and modifications. But overall amazing experience, phenomenal service, and really tasty food! I’ll be back I’m sure.

They had very clearly marked vegan options in the vegan section of the menu. The enfrijoladas with chimichurri potatoes were delicious, and they included an extra vegan elote for free with our pickup order.

vegan elotes! - Edit
after 15 years in Chicago, my standards for Mexican food are high. this Mexican food checks out—i met an owner who said their family is from Veracruz. they surprised me with a vegan elote, my first elote ever, and it was so good!! i also had the Mexican Street Tacos from their dedicated vegan menu (they also have another separate vegetarian menu), which come standard as one each of veggies, potatoes, and vegan chorizo, served with refried black beans—the veggie one was not so much my thing though the flavor was good, but the other two were fire. the plantains and yuca frita were excellent. this place is a hidden gem thats nice inside with a full bar, and you can tell a lot of love goes into it. will definitely be back!

Love to have a dedicated menu, makes things so much simpler. Not having to ask a million questions about food prep and ingredients makes the experience so much more enjoyable. Had the Chef sampler and it was all very good. Omnivore family also enjoyed their food here.
