Some of the best vegan noodles I ever had

The restaurant has multiple vegetarian options that can easily be altered to be vegan. I had the special noodles stir fry. Was excellent. Staff is very friendly

On the one hand, I question why this place warrants a HappyCow listing. It has a couple of vegan noodle dishes and a number of sides but is no more vegan friendly than many other restaurants in the CBD. On the other hand, I love hand cut noodles and I wouldn't have known I could eat them at Bowltiful if I hadn't seen it here.

I got the "hot chilli oil spill dry noodle" which had 2 chillis next to it on the menu but I found the spice level pretty mellow. A big bowl of thick wheat noodles, drenched in smoky chilli oil, garnished simply with spring onions and cucumber makes for a rich, filling, but not particularly nutritious meal. The dried beancurd sticks with celery as a side added some more textural variation, as well as upping the protein a little.

Overall, a tasty, affordable city feed. Would slurp again.

Housemade noodles

They make the noodles in house, and have at least three vegan options, although the 'beef noodles' sign on the front door had me reluctant to cross the threshold.

Despite this, it is a decent option in the centre of town. Order is via the QR code, and there is plenty of bench seating if you are visiting alone. Tables are also available, but in high demand.

The noodles (dry chilli noodles) I had for a weekday lunch were flavoursome.
