Quaint Cottage-Style Mountain Cafe with Vegan Options

We visited this cafe in August, 2022 hoping that they might have vegan options (if they didn't we were planning to just have coffee). To our surprise and joy, the owner was very accommodating! She helped us navigate the menu, recommending that we order the ratatouille (summer vegetable) pizza without cheese.

I was skeptical at first, because pizza without cheese can be quite boring. However, I was very impressed! It was delicious even without cheese! The dough and sauce were tasty and the vegetables were fresh and flavorful. For dessert, we tried 3 kinds of sherbet (raspberry, mango, and coconut) which are all handmade at the shop and do not contain any dairy. The coconut one normally comes with honey on top, so be sure to ask her to leave it off when ordering!

We also had coffee and mint soda. Many of the vegetables, fruits and herbs are locally sourced, some of which the shop owner grows herself. There is a beautiful garden in front of the shop and there are lots of raspberry bushes!

The owner expressed interest in improving the menu to make it more vegan-friendly and said she would try to prepare some vegan cheese the next time we came! If you would like to visit this shop, it might be good to call ahead of time so that she can prepare more options for you.

Since there are not many shops (let alone vegan shops) in this area, it's nice to have this as an option! We will definitely go again.

Pros: Very nice owner, accommodating, Good atmosphere, Delicious food

Cons: No vegan labeling, so you have to ask, Not many vegan options, YET
