Falafel wrap + dolmas

Very tasty and fresh food is served at this place. Had a take away falafel and dolmas, all fresh and reasonably priced. Restaurant has no tables to sit inside.

Pros: Fresh used ingredients , Quick service , Reasonable priced

Mango hummus

The curry mango hummus is a must-buy. I have not yet met anyone who isn’t completely obsessed after trying it, including me - and I don’t even like mango!

Flavour explosion with friendly service

Le Sud is a gem of a deli/takeaway. There's a huge variety of Mediterranean and middle eastern nibbles - think houmous, dolma, aubergine dip, bulgar salad, olives and falafel. The quality and presentation is superb and the service was incredibly friendly - they let us have a taste of many of the dishes so we knew which ones to pick.
This is the perfect place to pick up lunch or early dinner and sit by the canal watching the sunset. The wrap for lunch is excellent value for money for the quality and definitely better/cheaper than anything from the supermarket.

Pros: Huge variety, Friendly team, One for locals in the know

Hummus hummus hummus

Besides the wide range of hummus, also other cold veggies. You can order a selection in one container, for lunch, or individual containers. They also have warps and sandwiches, but I have never tried these. My favourites are the pumpkin, the courgette, and the eggplant, and of course the hummus with seeds. Almost entirely veg, and they will warn you if you say you are vegan or vegetarian, and ask for something that isn’t.

A-Mezzing

Wonderful place for fantastic freshly made middle eastern mezze delights. Amazing variety of hummus, succulent side dishes and spicy dips. The vines leaves and falafel are particularly impressive. We went for the coriander hummus, sun dried tomatoes and some flat breads for the hotel room. You pay by weight here so be careful and make sure you know how much you want first. The cabinet display is colourful and vibrant, an art form in itself. I was quite mesmerised upon walking in. Everything is meat free except for one dish which contained chicken. Rather strange but true.

Pros: perfect mezze food, fresh, location

Cons: can be expensive

Good choice of salads and spreads

As another reviewer has said, this is convenient for getting things for a picnic, but not for a sit down meal. Salads are priced by weight and include hummus, aubergine, courgette, pasta, falafel, artichoke, bean and mushroom. There are many vegan choices, but I recommend asking if something is vegan just to double check, as eggs and dairy are also used.

Pros: location

Cons: not fully vegan

"okay"

A good "breads and spreads" place, something Amsterdam seems to love. Multiple types of hummous, which is nice. Nothing amazing. Says it's vegetarian on the door but there are a few dish spreads. No need to go back, but if you're in the area or visiting Amsterdam and at the spot it's worth getting some spreads and having a picnic.

Their Menu

I looked at their website and discovered they are using egss in their recipes. So much for Vegan friendly. A kitchen that uses eggs cant be vegan. For the rest this place is just a salad bar that has 'vegetarian' salads...

Pros: location

Cons: eggs in menu
