Really good

Very busy place but worth the wait. I got a Beyond Biggie which is a Beyond patty in a Big Mac. So good. There are a few tables in the station and you need it because the burger was big. Fries were pretty good but burger was better

Pros: Big Mac, Service

Cons: Service was a bit slow but they were very busy

Pretty standard, hit and miss

Today I tried the new dim sims and they were really, really bad. Mushy and the flavour was not nice at all

Hits the spot

The people here rock. The menu is extensive and the food tastes exactly like you wanted it to. It’s like if Maccas was vegan but a whole lot nicer. Huge plus for not serving carcasses, defs pay them a visit !!
Also has two sides to it, one on the ticketed side and one on the street side. Enjoy friends😄

Pros: Super friendly , Comfort food , Convenient location

Can't go wrong with LOTF

LOTF is my go-to comfort food and I nearly visit all of their branches BUT I just need to let everyone know that the Flinders St. outlet has by far the friendliest service. All smiling when serving me and I observed they also patiently helped and explained the menu to the customers after me, again-with a smile. Totally impressed and very happy with the food and the service 🩷 Thank you Team LOTF.

Pros: 1. Consistency, 2. Friendly staff, 3. No cross-contamination of animal products

Serves a purpose

Found this a difficult one to rate, this was probably my first ‘greasy’ corner burger bar since being vegan and it fits that description very well so if that’s all that matters then 5 stars I guess?

It didn’t blow me away and I found the menu lacking any description of what the difference between any of the burgers were. It serves a purpose and I’m glad it’s there, fast vegan food

tasty grab and go

Stopped here to grab food to pack for tennis. All very tasty. Breakfast foods served all day. I got the Chick'n Waffle. I'd get an extra side of syrup as the chick'n sucked up all the syrup and the sandwich was on the dry side. I also had the Classic hot dog and sweet potato fries. There are a number of sauces available. I don't know which one I got, but it was very garlicky. The quintessential fast food joint. No where to sit, just grab it and go.

Yum

Convenient location at Flinders St station with friendly service and the full range of Lord of the Fries offerings.
Nowhere to sit except so be prepared to take the food to eat somewhere else (maybe by the riverside nearby).
Be aware the late night 20% surcharge which applied from 9 pm on a Sunday night one of the times I visited.

Junk food

Nice junky food in a pretty packed area. I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered something small, fries and Mac bites. The bites are deep fried balls with macaroni and cheese inside of them and it was good. I know after a few drinks this place would be ideal.

Good food located in a congested and dirty location

The place is located within Flinders Street Station near Fed Square. It is an incredibly busy station. You can access the place either from outside the station or within the station. It is a very small place with no dine in option. Within the station there are some tables nearby but they are often very dirty. If you order from outside the station, you can sit in Fed Square, but there are often seagulls that will try to snatch the food off you. It is a convenient place that is open often where you can grab food as you're passing by Flinders Street Station, but the area is not a pleasant place to eat as it is dirty and congested.

Pros: Everything vegan

Cons: No dine in options , Crowded location, Too many birds eager to snatch your food

No seating. Big prices in small font

Complete rip off in terms of pricing for what you get. For a stand this is ridiculous.

$3 for a sauce? $8 for some onion rings, $15 for a sampler box?

Get real.

If this is (and 2 other LoTFs) are the 3 of the 10 _BEST_ vegan restaurants in Melbourne, I think that says how bad Melbourne's vegan scene is.

Pros: vegan

Cons: junk food, expensive, no seating

Yummy fast food, super convenient!

Lord of Fries is an institution. I love walking down here in the morning and grabbing a breakfast bun and hash browns. I also like that they offer mini burgers and different kinds of chips - try the thick cut! I have found the sweet potato ones a bit too oily unfortunately.

Fast food yum

This place is so convenient and if you have a craving for fried food it’s the place to go! It’s not obvious it’s vegan when you first look at the menu but it’s 100% vegan. We had the phish and spicy burgers which were great. They had run out of hot dogs sadly. Take your non-vegan friends and show them there is no missing out!

Pros: Satisfying fast food hit, Quick and easy , Cheap

Cons: Not gonna do your health any favours! , Stop running out of hot dogs!

Very nice

I had the Melbourne hotdog with classic fries, they'd run out of the chunky ones. It was great, lots of choices and very convenient inside the train station.

Handy

This is the first vegan place in Melbourne that I visited almost 4 years ago. I was amazed that there was a fully vegan burger kiosk in a major train station serving many different burgers and hot dogs. I remember we had to wait a while after ordering to get our food, not great when catching a train. Maybe they're a bit quicker these days, or maybe it's because they're so busy - which is a good thing. The food was alright. I'm glad to see the kiosk is still there.
I wasn't too impressed and surprised with the Lord of the Fries recent Instagram post using a captive animal that had many negative comments, it made me question the company's ethnics but they have since taken it down.

Lord of the delicious

A staple for those in Melbourne who like a plant based fast food alternative. With a variety of burgers, hot dogs, fries and much more they’ve been feeding me and the good people of Melbourne for many years.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Quick to make, Central location

Cons: Price can be a concern

Great vegan Dim Sims!

Max and cheese balls are great, we get them every time. The new vegan Dim Sims are really tasty - crispy in the outside and I couldn't tell they weren't meat inside. Meat has cabbage mixed through, really authentic tasting.

They did forget to include soy sauce for dipping which was advertised which I was disappointed about!

Pros: Tasty food, Great to grab and eat in the go, Good drunk food.

Cons: Often forget sauces.

Everything you want from a fastfood place

Food was greasy in a good way. The place made me wish I was at uni nearby so I could go after nights out rather than when stone cold sober. Buy I probably appreciated it more sober so I probably benefited overall. I had the dimsum and chicken wings. Both were really tasty including for the vegetarian ans meat eater I was with.
The chicken wings were perfectly crispy

Such a good price in comparison to everywhere else I've seen

Pros: So many things to try, Great price

Cons: Very salty

Only wanted to give it a try because it's vegan. Good option if you need something fast to go.

Pros: 100% vegan.
