Great vegan haggis - Edit
Traditional pub with very efficient service, busy when we went on a Friday night, had to book but then able to keep the table for drinks. Amazing vegan haggis then Thai curry, not out of this world food, but good and filling and a nice traditional busy pub with very friendly staff

Classic old pub - Edit
Full pub experience with some pretty good vegan options. The chicken roll with chips was surprisingly good as was the vegan sausages with mash and gravy which also came with some peas which were surprisingly good. Also have 4 non alcoholic beers.

Lovely pub grub - Edit
Has a specific veggie & vegan section in the menu, food is good and the staff are really helpful. Be warned that they do serve seafood which can be quite strong-smelling if you don't like that.

Lovely lunch - Edit
Had a lovely mock chicken wrap from their lunch menu. Was tasty and chips were great too. Only a couple of vegan options on the lunch menu. Great service and lovely looking bar. Just a shame not a couple more options. Also dog and kid friendly! They came over with a bowl of water for our dog and a dog biscuit!

Try the haggis - Edit
The deep fried (vegan) haggis might not sound amazing, but it is mandatory. Burger had a garam masala taste, it was great. Huge whiskey selection.

Meal deal as part of local hotel stay - Edit
Lovely wee bar. The actual bar inside is a magnificent piece of art.
Read moreWe went as a meal deal from the Ranald Hotel. When we got to the Lorne Bar they were running on a limited menu as the main chef was off. My meal options were haggis bites to start, vegan beef or chicken style burger and vegan sundae. There were no other options available even though their normal menu has a few vegan options. I had the beef style burger and the sundae. The burger was nice but it came in a brioche bun and with it being a different chef I wasn’t 100% confident it was vegan so just ate the burger. The sundae was 3 scoops of vanilla style ice cream with Oreo’s on top. The food done the job but I can’t say I would rush back.
Pros: Lovely little place to sit inside if a little dark, Lovely staff
Cons: Didn’t have many options available at the time , Vegan sundae was a bit boring

Pub grub - Edit
So impressed by how many vegan options there are, and all clearly labelled on the menu! I had a 'chicken' burger and the oreo sundae for dessert. We will definitely be stopping here again whenever we are passing through Oban.

For a pub, a good selection of vegan food. The waiter even asked if it should be prepared vegetarian or vegan.

3.5 stars: quite nice, but pub quality food - Edit
Although this pub has about 4 vegan dishes, the quality is a bit inconsistent. The vegan beef burger was tasty, but they didn’t have vegan mayo (just ketchup). The vegan sausage with mashed potato was a bit bland. I did like the Purple rain cocktail though.

On a weekend trip to Oban with my family and we stumbled upon this great wee place. They have great vegan options on their menu; I opted for the Panang curry which was lovely. The rest of my family really enjoyed their meals too.

Great pub - Edit
The Lorne is very nice for a drink and some vegan pub food, the choices might be a bit obvious but the food is really good. The vegan haggis bites were great😄just as the cider. Staff was very nice and the interior as well.
