Great nepali set meal - Edit
Visited a few times whilst in kathmandu and enjoyed every time! The nepali set meal in particular was delicious and probably the best meal I had in Kathmandu! The staff are friendly and the vibe of the place is that they really care about veganism and animal rights. Prices very reasonable too.

This is the oldest vegan restaurant in Nepal, they really respect animals here. I was made very welcome and asked if I wanted extra rice during my meal. It felt like a family meal. I had the brown rice khana, this is a Nepali Thali meal - accompanied by lentil soup (dal), vegetable curries (tarkari), pickles (achar), and a fish alternative, which was mushrooms. I really enjoyed eating a vegan version of a traditional dish. The portion was generous and the food was tasty 🙏

We ate here several times last year. The location has changed and it’s only a block from our hotel, so it was the first place we went back to. While the entrance is clearly marked, you have to walk up three flights of stairs to the restaurant (not a problem for us, but be aware).
Read moreThere was a large group finishing their meal when we arrived and the one other person in the restaurant already had food, but it took about 10 minutes before we saw a server and got menus.
We ordered a veg salad and pizza. The server came back several minutes later to tell us there was no pizza, so we got the crispy Thai tofu burger and cauliflower wings.
After a very long wait our food finally came out.
The salad was basically a bowl of cucumber and carrot with green pepper and chunks of tomato. Not bad but not great.
The tofu burger was great, with a nice slice of tofu and coleslaw.
The cauliflower wings had a nice flavor, but the breading was really heavy.
It took a long time before we saw the server again. I got up and refilled our water glasses. We were ready to run out of there by the time we got the bill.
While the food wasn’t bad, the service was almost nonexistent. We won’t be back.

We had an excellent lunch here! We ordered the soup momos, the tofu curry set, and the dhido set - all truly delicious! The dhido set was especially yum - a must order. We sat upstairs on the rooftop terrace, and it had beautiful views of the city and even the hills. It was softly raining while we were there, and was a magical experience. All the staff were very lovely and kind. We were able to take our leftovers home with us, and we were also told that all the salad vegetables are washed in bottled/filtered water so we were comfortable eating them. We can't recommend Loving Heart enough!

had such an excellent meal here! is a bit tucked away but easy enough to find - we sat on the roof terrace as well which was lovely. the staff were super friendly and our food was fantastic! we couldn't believe the range of options, the quality of the food and the portions for the price! every dish we had was excellent - we will definitely be coming back to try more from the menu!

The food is excellent and is made right in front of you. It is light on the pocket and feels like a warm hug. My father was recovering from a surgery and he had food from here while recovering. Discovered this on day one of our trip and went here for a week straight!! Truly healing food and hospitable staff.
