Great food and peaceful location

Have been to several loving huts in different countries and have never had a bad experience. The food was delicious and staff kind and friendly.
The curry noodle katsu was 5/5

Yum!

Glad to finally make it to this location of Loving Hut! Love that they have a Keto style menu. I’ve been on a health kick lately and it feels great. I got the gimbap and the kojac noodles and both were fresh and delicious!

Local vegan eats accessible by 02 bus.

Great service and local veganized food. I'm not a huge fan of mock meat, so I didn't love it, but I'm sure it would be great for others.

Gave 5 stars for variety, service, and accessibility. May come back and try something else.

I had the fried chicken which was too oily for my taste and the soy meat ttukbbaegi.

Enjoyed the ttukbbaegi.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good service, English speaking

A step above other Loving Huts

This was Loving Hut Smile, which was takeout only, that moved down the road to a location with seating. They changed name to Loving HuT Land. There was something about this location of LH that just tasted better. Soups were fresh. Kimbap was nice. I will go back to try some other dishes because it was cold outside so any soup might have tasted nice 😄.

Good food and lovely people

This is a very small branch of loving hut, mostly for take out. Has only two tables. But the food is so good and the staffs are so cool and friendly. I visited there a couple of times and started to order online, later.

Pros: Lots of yummy foods!

Worth a visit!

This place is far out from any subway station so it’s a bit tough to reach. But it’s definitely worth it! The staff was really nice and we had a little chat (in korean). And then the food came out! It was a pleasant surprise. Portions were very big and taste was great! Will definitely come back at some point!

Pros: Long menu, Cheap items are big

Cons: Not easy to reach, Some foods are super expensive

Pleasant all around :)

Very friendly staff, kind and inviting. I think I spoke with the daughter and she speaks English, all of them seemed very kind - and they’re all vegan! All food is vegan as well. I had the perilla pasta and the fried soy. I wanted to try the ramen but I was afraid of how spicy it might be 😅. Overall, good food, good people, good vibe. If I lived in Seoul I would visit again!

Pros: All vegan options, Healthy options, Friendly staff

Cons: A little pricey

Yum

Nice place, a little bit of travel was necessary for us to get there, but we left very satisfied. It's quite good value for money. Nice to try some vegan Korean style food!

Small place but nice

This is a small, out of the way place with only a few tables, so was kind of surprised their menu actually have a lot to choose from. I chose a vegan burger, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was also friendly to me, asking how I like the food etc.

Terrible service

On my birthday, I traveled really far to go eat their fried soy. However, they had a note on the door saying they'd be right back. We called and they said they wouldn't be back for more than an hour. They didn't apologize or even give any explanation. So in the midday heat we walked to Loving Hut (the nonSmile one). After we ate we called again to see if we could get fried soy to-go and they said it would take an hour... so we said never mind.

We went again another day. We called ahead of time and when we got there like 30 min later they said they were worried we werent coming bc we took so long. We mentioned what had happened before and they didn't even apologize or look at all sorry.

Another time we called them to order ahead of time. We said we were planning to stop by in 20~30 min and the woman said it would take longer than that.. so we went shopping for a bit before going to Loving Hut Smile. When we got there the woman there said the guy who makes fried soy was out... and after he comes it would take 20 min. She told us to call ahead of time. I thought of leaving, but wanted food... we finally got our food over one hour after we had called. The woman reminded us several times to call ahead of time, but she never looked sorry or apologized. It seemed like she thought it was our fault for not calling earlier (though our food wasn't even ready until more than an hour after we had called).

Overall, it's completely unprofessional of them to just go out during business hours and to blame us for not having called more than an hour in advance...

And it's not a language issue as we talked to them in Korean.

About the food
I did like the fried soy and it's the only reason I went back after terrible service.
The pizza is expensive and like a previous reviewer said, its base is a soggy, storebought crust..

I don't plan on going back.

Pros: Fried soy, Vegan

Cons: Randomly disappearing chef, Unapologetic, customer-blaming woman, Overpriced

Very friendly staff and delicious food!

This restaurant is run by very friendly people, and their food is just as delicious as Loving Hut - Gangnam-gu, which is quite close to this place (within 10 minutes’ walk I would say). If you love food at Loving Hut - Gangnam-gu, you would love food at Loving Hut Smile as well.

But mind you, Loving Hut Smile has a different menu from Loving Hut - Gangnam-gu though they share the same name ‘Loving Hut’. First of all, they have the famed vege fried chicken and cream sauce pasta! (Unfortunately, I have not had any opportunity to try them so far…) Secondly, they can make their dishes in the Buddhist vegetarian style, meaning no onion, no garlic, etc! Thirdly, some of their dishes are quite pricy…

Personally, I like their vege omulet. Yum yum! :)

Terrible

Over priced (40 000 won for a "pizza" and a steak). Disgusting. Salty.

PIzza (price 20 000 won)- Cheap processed tomato sauce on an instant processed crust that tasted of cardboard. It was topped with the kind of factory-made add-water processed soy meat you can buy in bulk. There was no cheese though quality mock cheeses are available in Seoul.

Steak (price 20 000 won) - Salty and smothered in a processed steak sauce. The texture was not bad and it did have vio-life cheese (a definite plus) but overall the dish was a complete and utter disappointment.

I regretted not staying home and having vegan ramyeon instead.

cozy & delicious - will surely come here again

We were thrilled to discover this bright little place, from which we left with a smile and belly twice their original size. It has a family atmosphere, and eating there seems almost like being invited to lunch at a local warm family's place. The restaurant has an English menu with all sorts of tasty dishes, and the cooks/servers are cordial Koreans who know English well enough to help you choose and express curiosity towards you and your experience as a vegan in Korea. We especially recommend the ramen soup, tofu rice (they're huge dishes - prepare yourself!) and cutlet, which comes with rice and salad on the side. It seems that the more expensive dishes are big enough to be shared by a couple, and that's how they're served: a big bowl with two small ones and a ladle to pour with. Overall, the meal we ordered, which consisted of five dishes, cost less than it would in our home country.
Highly recommended!

Pros: warm staff, easily found, Local Koreans enjoy eating here too

Cons: simple, home-like cooking, but that's not a con :)

Wonderful Staff & Hone Cooking

I got here just at closing but was welcomed with open arms. Immediately, I felt like the staff and I were family, though only one spoke any English.

The vegetable/tomato soup was like mom's home cooking and a lady whipped up a nice acai yogurt drink for me. Can't promise this, but was invited to stay after hours for a traditional Korean tea ceremony.

I want to go back today!

Pros: Staff like my family, Home cooked food

spicy fried chicken is a MUST!

The most chicken-like dish that you must have. Also the cheesy steak is a good dish. Friendly dog who's vegan but dislikes photo-taking so no taking of pictures. The staff is very friendly and can speak reasonably good English too!
