A MUST FOR VEGANS IN SOFIA - Edit
Truly loved this place. My partner and I went and we’re so impressed by the food, prices, and kindness of the owners. This Loving Hut had a combination of traditional Bulgarian dishes and more westernized vegan dishes, which was nice as a vegan tourist who wanted to try some Bulgarian food! Would come back again if in Sofia.

We came in from the rain to grab a coffee and do some work. The place is small, but the owner is super friendly and accommodating. We also tried some of their vegan ice creams which were delicious. Great location, I recommend it!

Tasty Bulgarian options - Edit
I love loving hut, so I had to check out the one in Sofia. They have a refrigerator with vegan cheese and vegan sausage for sale, which I really liked. They offer many Bulgarian dishes, so you can enjoy it and know it’s vegan.
Read moreThe main con is that their menu is relatively small, it’s limited just to the things in the glass case, and by the end of the day some of the options are sold out.

Really lovely owner and most of the food is home made, also a good selection of drinks and biscuits. Small area to sit in and good take away options too.

Ok if you're stuck for food - Edit
I was excited to finally get to a Loving Hut when the one in Oslo closed before I visited. I was really disappointed however.
Read moreThe food is quite basic and the space is very cramped. The selection of cakes was good but expensive for Bulgaria. I had the mint chocolate cake and it's over whelming taste was mint oil. Its lacked any depth and the texture wasnt great.
Its a great concept and badly needed in Sofia but I wish they would over haul the menu and change the cake supplier.
Pros: Fully vegan , Great staff , Central location
Cons: Not great food unfortunately

Not impressed at all - Edit
I visited a Loving Hut in Mexico last year and that was one of my favourite restaurant visits but this one didn't impress at all. We were served a cold vegetable quiche and a cold slice of pizza. Both lacked flavour. Also the price was kind of ridiculous. 3 euros per piece. The desserts also were quite expensive (3 euros for a small piece of vegan Snickers) so we opted out. I had high expectations but they were not met.

Lovely food friendly service - Edit
A great find in Sofia. Great options, good for take out breakfast and lunch. But by far the best thing was the lovely friendly service of the man who tried his best to serve us and speak English to us which was really appreciated. Great selection of sweets and cakes as well!! Only downside is not much of the seating area. Just a few stools in the window.

Vegan Adventures Abroad - Sofia, Bulgaria - Edit
TLDR: As a vegan or vegetarian who enjoys vegan food that finds yourself in Sofia Bulgaria, The Loving Hut is an essential stop during your journey. Everything, and I do mean everything about this place was wonderful. The service, the smiles and of course, the delicious food.
Read moreFor everyone else:
Having never been to Bulgaria, my wife and I were unsure of how many vegan options would be available during our week stay in Sofia. We checked the normal internet resources and the Loving Hut was listed as well as appearing in a vegan travel blog so of course we made sure to check it out. The Loving Hut exceeded all of our expectations! Our first visit we actually went in a little after closing, however the gentleman working was overly gracious and accommodating, recommending options and allowing us to dine in. Our next visit, he recommended we wait for the soup of the day which was a warm and delightful treat for such a cold December day.
Everything here is scratch made, vegan and wonderful. The quick bites and quiches, the vegan deserts and the soups of the day were all delicious. In addition to and actually even exceeding the food were the people. Their warm attitude, friendly conversation and passion for their recipes shines.
I whole heartedly recommend The Loving Hut whether you're vegan or just want to support wonderful people while in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Thank you Loving Hut for feeding us on our adventure!

this place has the tastiest sweets imo, i most love their tofu chocolate pudding, they have savoury dishes too, and they also sell yogurt, cheese and milk from nuts or soy. the staff is very sweet! and they also work with the app Foodobox, the bulgarian equivalent to toogoodtogo, and you can pick up a tasty surprise after work

A mixed experience - Edit
Loving Huts are a bit of a hit and miss to me and so was this one. I ordered a quiche with vegan cheese which was nearly cold. I really hate food that is supposed to be hot but has gone cold, so this was barely edible for me. To fill up, I then had two small pieces of dessert, these were better, although a bit too solid.
Read moreI must add that the staff were very welcoming and I liked the down to earth vibe of this place.

A must visit place in sofia - Edit
I came to loving hut with my caranist husband and was a little afraid that he won't like the dishes. As soon as we entered the cozy shop We were greeted with a wide smile by the amazing owner.
Read moreI immediately know what I wanted because the display looked so inviting and as foodie I have a sense of what the food should taste like judging by the appearance.
We ordered the chicken wrap, meat pizza and the meat quiche.
As soon as we started eating, our taste buds explode with luxurious flavors and we enjoyed every bite!
I'm not ashamed to admit that I moaned a little while I ate😆
For dessert we ordered the amazing tiramisu and strawberry milk ice cream.
We talked to the owner about food activism and how we appreciate small vegan businesses in this capitalistic world while I bought a few vegan cheeses and homemade sausage.
Pros: Amazing food, Excellent service and experience, Affordable prices
Cons: None!
