Not worth the traffic for us - Edit
My wife was looking for Chinese food and we have a difficult time finding vegan options near us. We were on a road trip, so I searched and found this restaurant. We went slightly out of our way and through some traffic around dinner time, thinking it would be worth it. It was a disappointment. We each(5 of us) purchased a different menu item so that we could try each other's items. Some were OK, and some were .. odd. It looked as if one of the meals was spaghetti noodles and gravy. My daughter's "fish" dish was gross (and she ended up sick after, though that could have been unrelated). The staff were so kind, but the food was not good. I wouldn't say I'd never go back, but it's not a place I'd choose over any other.

The type of place I'm very happy to support - Edit
I've been in the Charlotte area for a year or so, and this is my favorite vegan spot so far. Only issue is I'm a creature of habit and typically order the same thing (sesame tofu and some spring rolls), so I'm not qualified to review the whole menu outside of a few other items I've tried.
Read moreThey're always very friendly to me, the food is always delicious, and I love supporting places like this. It's not cheap but the portions are pretty big and I plan to keep ordering from them whenever I find myself in the south area of the city.

Delicious and quiet - Edit
My husband and I stopped in at nearly 2pm on a Saturday. Not another soul was there so we got to quietly enjoy lunch and the ac on a hot summer day. We started with the Veggie Pork Steamed Buns. Then I had the Singapore Mi Fun and my husband had the Orange “Chicken”. Both were delicious and spicy. Highly recommend!

All I want to eat is this food! Very cool to have vegan options for a variety of authentic dishes. We tried for appetizers the BBQ Chun, pork buns, and fried wontons. All the appetizers were delicious and came out hot and fresh! I ordered the beef and broccoli with fried rice. My fiance ordered the duck, he said he loved the flavor with the lemon. It is a must! Don’t forget the Thai tea!

This is my second time visiting this lovely restaurant! The first time was for my Birthday, six months ago. The food is even better than I remembered! The General Tso’s Shrimp is so good, and I the chik’n wings are SO good!

I’ve never had the opportunity to eat vegan Chinese food at a restaurant, and it was excellent. So many options as well! We got spring rolls (I’ve had better), steamed potstickers, sesame vegan meat (slightly sweet), and general tso vegan meat (like a 3/10 spicy). Highly recommend this place!

Easy choice for Asian Vegan Food - Edit
1st time here. Parking found easily in parking lot. Indoor seating available. Friendly staff. All vegan. Ordered hot & Sour soup. Tasty. Regular portion size. The vegan boneless ribs were a decent portion size but were not what I was expecting. They had good flavor but I was hoping for something crispy. Their shumai was delicious and also a good serving size. Server suggested sweet and sour veggie meat. Good flavor and nice portion size with a side of white or brown rice. I enjoyed my food and wouldn’t hesitate to come back next time I am in the area

I am the only vegan in the house. When I said I was ordering food from Ms Ma Wok, no one wanted it. When I got home and let everyone taste it , they loved it and wanted more. I ended back at Ma Ma Wok the next night getting food for my entire family. The basil eggplant was the biggest hit.

This is by far one of, if not Thee best vegan restaurants in town. Service can be a bit slow but it’s irrelevant. The quality of food is very high, extremely tasty, lots of selections. You must visit Ma Ma Wok.

I stop by everytime I am in Charlotte and I am never disappointed. Not crazy expensive and there are a ton of options! My favorite is the salt and pepper King oyster mushrooms!

This is one of my favorite vegan places in Charlotte! The food is excellent every time we go here- even my non-vegan family loves it. The staff are some of the nicest people I've met; they're always so welcoming and kind. The menu has a large variety of food, and the portion sizes are relatively large, so we usually end up with leftovers. The dining area is a bit small, but we've never had an issue with not getting a seat. I highly recommend checking these wonderful people out!
