Incredible food, 100% vegan and 100% delicious - Edit
Ma Ma Wok went 100% vegan recently so we wanted to support them. I haven’t really had decent Asian food since going vegan, and this has quickly become my favorite vegan spot in Charlotte. The restaurant is small and quaint, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Everything I’ve tried so far has been amazing, and their vegan meats are insanely good. The General Tso’s veg meat, chicken lo mein, chicken drumsticks, and hot and sour soup are absolutely incredible. Before you go, make sure to order some Chinese donuts ❤️

Just when I thought we would never have Chinese food again after becoming vegan we ran into this place visiting Charlotte! I’m so sad we live 2 1/2 hours away because this place is wonderful! Extremely friendly people with amazing food! The house fried rice was so flavorful and the Thai tea was better than any Thai tea I’ve had in the past! There were so many options to choose from and everything we tried was just truly amazing! I will drive 2 1/2 hours just to have this food again!

So thankful for this place...since moving from NYC by way of LA, I was really missing my vegan Asian spots. This place is a gem...I can come here and not have to worry about any fish sauce or equipment shared with dead animal flesh. They pretty much have all of the Chinese options that you’d find at a non vegan establishment but without the cruelty.

Love coming here and enjoying a good Plant based meal. My favorite is the Curry Konjac. Hope I'm spelling it right, but it's amazing. I didnt know what it was, until I ordered it. I have eaten at this place 5 times and have not been disappointed. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous.

What can I say. They were awesome. I showed up and asked for a request they didn't even have on the menu. With a slight up charge they were able to get it done. The food is spot on, and preparation is quick.

My friend too me here for lunch. The restaurant has recently become 100% vegan so I was really spoiltfor choice. The combo meals are really resdonsbly priced and a good sized portion forunch. We slso had spring rolls which were really delicious and fresh. Very nice, friendly staff too.

I loved having vegan versions of food I hadn’t tasted in years! I got the sesame chicken which my non-vegan husband said was scary accurate 😂. He had the house lo mein... also delicious! He’s picky about vegan food so it’s saying something if he enjoyed it. We regretted going to a different vegan restaurant for lunch the next day and said we should’ve gone back for more Chinese.

This place has the best food in town and their drumsticks are to die for. We had so much food and the bill was not as high as we thought it would be. The service is great and the fact that they went vegan 🌱 after having been a regular restaurant is promising for other restaurants.

even though it is a bit of a drive from my place, I LOVE going to ma ma wok. They have the best vegan chicken, first time I had it I thought it was actual chicken! the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is always wonderful.

The service is friendly & helpful and the food came very quickly. Everything was delicious! I started with the Hot & Sour Soup that was exceptional: very plentiful in fresh ingredients, including recently snipped cilantro. The spring roll was tasty, as well. My family got the “chicken drumsticks” which looked and tasted just like fried chicken! Really tasty. My Seitan “chicken” dish was very good! My daughter enjoyed her vegetable fried rice & my parents split a rice noodle dish that had 3 different “meats”: ham, steak & shrimp. (They order this every visit!) My only complaint was the temperature of the restaurant (too warm on this 95 degree summer day!)

I am so happy this restaurant exists. Nice and attentive staff, homemade potstickers, and meaty, authentic Chinese food like I remember before veganism. Their mock beef is fantastic, and the Thai tea is flavorful and not too sweet. I'm rethinking my aversion to Charlotte traffic just for this place.

Family owned Chinese restaurant that became all vegetarian in August 2017. All dishes are vegan. Owner is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve, and is happy to answer any questions you may have about their vast assortment of options. Spring rolls are made in house, and the Thai iced tea is made with their own house-made almond milk. This should be everyone's favorite Chinese restaurant in Charlotte.

This place is so lovely and the food is delicious. The staff is sweet and extremely helpful. Food is so fresh and tasty. The dumplings are fully handmade and you can tell! You can taste the love put into the food. My omnivore partner loved the meal. We shared the "chicken" curry, and kung pao "beef", all fresh and delicious. The Chinese donuts are very nice too. I would love to go again soon!! 💛

This place is just awesome. I tried the chicken Lo Mein and it seriously tasted just like chicken Lo Mein. Also tried the sesame chicken and they got it just right. Perfect vegan Asian cuisine.
