Lots of options with a mix of typical Peruan food and inspirations from others. Staff not very attentive even though it was tiny. Would have liked to try the desserts as they did look good but wasn't that hungry at the time of the visit.

Great value spot for lunch. All the food appears to be vegan and they’ve a great range of empanadas, salads and sweet treats. They also got coconut and soy yoghurt in the fridge.

Perfect alfajores (Veg-Serves Dairy) - Edit
I really enjoyed the alfajor and the veggie empanada. I found the tofu empanada to lack flavour and could not really eat it. Something just seemed off, but maybe that’s just me. Service was great. Would come back.
Read more-pizzas are not vegan and they use cow’s milk for some drinks. Everything else, I was told, is vegan (so about 95% or so of the restaurant).

First, in general, I am disappointed when a venue that is reported fully vegan is in fact not. Anyways, I had come for the empanadas, so as these were not available I thought I would order pizza which is where I found out that pizza has dairy cheese. At this point the choice of savoury vegan options had boiled down to salads and avocado sandwich. So, I had a salad which was nothing special. I tried my luck with alfajor and found the taste of chocolate a bit off as though it wasn't fresh. In the end the only thing I did like was a tiny lil blondie :(

Like the title says, yes, go for it. It was really delicious and a little better than the tofu-version. I had a bite of the Alfajor as well and it probably was the best one I’ve had so far. Lovely little shop and absolutely outstanding service.

A small cafe with a variety of vegan desserts including gluten free, also a small cafe menu. The Nutella cheesecake was yummy although not very cheesecake like. The kombucha is house made and very good.

Nice Cafe Experience - Edit
This was a nice spot for lunch. I ordered two empanadas: one with vegetables which was quite flavorful and the other with a plant based carne which was not. I wish they had a hot sauce, but I actually enjoyed seasoning it with lime, which is not something I usually enjoy in my savory cuisine. Afterword I ordered a cake which I was skeptical of because it is sweetened with stevia, but it did not have any artificial sweetener flavor and I quite enjoyed. I def have to go back for those cinnamon rolls, they look awesome.

Madre is a small cafe that serves lite vegan foods and an entire display case of vegan baked goods that use a natural sweetener instead of sugar. The staff speaks English and the food is moderately priced.
