Super easy to put together a vegan dry pot with lots of veggies and protein options. Spicy means spicy! Service was good and food was delicious. My Chinese friend said it was some of the best Szechuan meals he's had in the US. Vegan options will cost less than meat which is always nice. It's a popular place so make a reservation or be prepared to wait (maybe even at lunch).
It's a good place if you are in NY with omnivores. There aren't that many vegan options on the menu but you can create your own drypot. It was delicious!
I will forever come back for the mala drypot. They have one veggie combo, but I prefer the the build your own option, in which the vegan options are endless IMO. They have at least four or five different tofu options (I love the tofu pocket), a long list of veggies, and chewy carbs such as rice cakes and different kinds of noodles.
Authentic Chinese food with limited vegan options - Edit
This place is far better than the typical (non-vegetarian) Chinese restaurants. A limited menu, but the food here is authentic, filling, reasonably priced, and tasty. There are not a lot of vegan options, though you can mix and match the vegetable options to get varied meals.
Among their non-vegetarian options is a lamb dish.

Signature dry pot was delicious - Edit
I had a ‘little spicy’ dry pot with vegetables, tofu and a side of purple rice. I would order the same dish again.
