Read moreThe springrolls up front were ok - do not order them if you do not like coriander. Plus: The sweet sour sauce is a bit weird as a companion.

On a Monday evening, we waited for almost an hour for our main dishes.
One dish was partly burnt, for both dishes a lot of fat was used. Tofu was spungy.
Portions are quite big.

Due to Happy Cow regulations, extraordinary restaurants that serve not only vegan food can only receive 4*. To be fair to them, 4* is my max in general.
Honestly, I was unwhelmed by the food. However, quite a few people sat in the restaurant and more came in for takeaway. So I give 3* instead of 2* because accidents happen.

Great Tofu Options - Edit
Was staying down the road from this place so came upon it by chance. Really tasty! Got the tofu pad thai and enjoyed it. There were heaps of dishes with tofu option. Yum!

Loved my veganized Gang Gari! Staff knows what vegan means and are happy to help you. I had tried to order something else as well but after double checking with the cook she came back to tell me which menu items can be veganized which I think is great. That way I can choose something else and no food is wasted. I also loved that they seem to use mostly cardboard/paper for takeaways.

I paid ~20$ for my curry and 2 servings of rice. Ate half at the restaurant and took the other half home for lunch.

Best Thai I've had in a long time. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. No problem to find vegan / vegetarian options. I don't live in Christchurch but so glad I've discovered this and will be back for sure!

Delicious vegan Thai food! - Edit
Found this place by chance – had wanted to eat at the vegetarian restaurant “Gatherings”, but it was full. But it couldn’t have been better, because I had the best Thai food outside of Thailand ever! The menu has many dishes marked “vegetarian”, but when you tell them you are a vegan, they will prepare it vegan for you (part of the dishes may be vegan without altering anyway…). I had the yellow curry for take-away, and the portion was very generous.
