Incredible

What a find, fantastic Indian street food, all vegetarian, mostly vegan. I had the dosa which was one of the best I've had. Warning: the vegan masala tea is VERY sweet, so stay clear if you don't like sugar

Amazing vegan thali

£7.50 for a thali tray which consisted of rice, roti, salad and two curries. Really tasty and big portion!

Tasty, quick, cheapish

Always really enjoy this. Not a restaurant, so can be cold in winter

Safe bet for lunch

Manjit’s is a sound choice for a quick lunch stop in Leeds city centre. I always go for the vegan thali, decent portion, tasty flavours, fair price.

Must Eat Here

I love Manjits be that at the market or the sit down restaurant in burley. Also have had several fantastic takeaways during lockdown. Tasty, flavourful and great staff and owner.

Finally

Been to visit a couple of times but they were sold out which proves how good the place is so finally ate here the other day and I had the 2 curry vegan option thali....so good. All good vegan or vegetarian. My partner got the vegetarian 3 curry thali and it had yoghurt with it. All of the food so good and great value. Can’t wait to visit their restaurant.

Pros: Friendly staff

yummy vegan thalis

This place is a street food vendor in Leeds market. There isn't a huge menu but everything they offer is vegetarian and a lot of it is vegan. I had the vegan Thali which was lovely and a reasonable price. It's in a food court type setting so there is plenty of seating.

Pros: cheap, delicious

Top quality

Manjit's Kitchen is a little street food stall in the Kirkgate market food hall. Don't underestimate it though - the food is top restaurant quality, a seriously delicious delight for a very reasonable price. There are always vegan choices available on the menu, and in my experience staff have been really helpful in offering vegan options.

If you've not heard about the backstory to Manjit's Kitchen, have a read about how the business initially came to be, how it has developed, and how Manjit is the inspirational force behind projects to grow and improve the market.

Pros: Tasty food, Vegan friendly, Reasonably priced

Best Indian Street Food in Leeds

We're frequent customers. We really like that she puts season specials on. Thali plates are great value (vegetarian by default, but she's caters well for vegans). Masala Dosas are among the best in Leeds.

Did we mention she won the 2018 BBC best street food award? Can't argue with that :)

Pros: varied vegan options

Cons: only open during the day :(, not open on Sunday
