Absolutely fantastic food. The croissant was the best I have ever had, even considering the ones I had had before I went vegan. The focaccia was also an easy 5/5; moist and juicy, with savory toppings. No surprise at all that this is one of the top rated shops in Amsterdam.

Bei Margo‘s gibt es Croissants (herzhaft und süß), Foccacia, Zimtschnecken mit Kardamom oder Tahini und viele weitere süße Gebäcke - teilweise auch saisonal, wie Rhabarber-Gebäck. Das Gebäck ist schön groß und zwischen süßen und herzhaften Zutaten sehr gut ausgewogen. Interessante Kombinationen kann man hier auf jeden Fall entdecken. Es wirkt nahezu unglaublich, dass alle Optionen vollkommen vegan sind. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Very pretty baked goods that had a decent taste but maybe a tad on the tasteless side. Perhaps it was becausd they were cooled that the flavours were a bit muted but i arrived just an hour or two after opening so it should have been fine. Nevertheless it was still a pleasant visit and grab of food

Read moreWe went to Margos like 3 times and it was our go to breakfast spot. We tried many of the sweet stuff and also some of the hearty options. We liked everything and the price is very good for this bakery quality and location. Would recommend this to everyone who is looking for a good baker!
Went here again in 2026 for some food on a roadtrip. And again the food was great. The bacon cheese croissant is soo good.

My partner and I had two pastries each (greedy of us, yes I know lol) - I had the pistachio brioche and the cardamon cruffin, and my partner had the double baked chocolate hazelnut pastry and the salami focaccia. We also had some drinks which were very nice. I highly reccomend this place!
Read moreThe only issue was that it's very small (nothing the owners can do about this of course, just something to keep in mind) and not very accessible if you're in a wheelchair and/or can't get up a step. I use a rolling walker and was able to get up the large step outside the door with the help of my partner, but if I had been on my own I would likely have had to give this place a miss. I don't think they have a fold out ramp available - if they did, I didn't see a sign or anything saying so. Wouldn't knock a star off for this as it's a common issue unfortunately, just something to know if you're a disabled visitor!

I’d already been to the other well known bakery close by but didn’t want to miss out on trying something from here. I had one of the focaccias which was okay, not as amazing as I would have hoped but they have a great selection and I would still come back here to try the pastries.

Heavenly focaccia that I will be dreaming of for a long time. The focaccia was fluffy and warm with the most delicious flavours. We had a salami focaccia and a goat’s cheese and agave focaccia. Both were excellent and melted in our mouths. They had lots of other sweet pastry options which I would have loved to try. There is limited indoor seating, so may be more of a grab and go situation.

My fussy French partner said the croissant was great and it was huge. I loved it too. Their jasmine tahini latte is super original and delicious. I wanted to try one of everything but had just eaten, boo. Friendly and helpful staff. Luckily it was quieter on a Monday morning and we were able to perch on their very limited seating for a bit.

This little café is in the beautiful Jordaan district, perfect for a takeaway breakfast at one of the beautiful Grachten. I love their yummy pastrys and it’s all vegan! 🤩The savory sandwiches also seemed nice, my boyfriend ordered one. Also there’s a variety of different hot drinks with plant milk. Definitely recommended!

Only tried the tiramisu danish which wasn't my favourite because the cream wasn't as flavourful as I had hoped. But the staff was lovely and I got to hide there from the awful rainy weather. It wasn't as busy as some other pastry shops I went to and I really liked that.

We absolutely loved the pastries here. The ham and cheese crossaint was great, and so was the cardamom bun. We also had the tiramisu Danish, which was also super nice, but I would recommend the other two even more. We liked it slightly better here than saint-jean, but both were awesome.
