Awesome ramen! - Edit
Great ramen noodles shop run by super friendly people. The restaurant is fully vegan and has many different options. The ramen are handcrafted.
Read moreI had multiple dishes and all tasted really good. The flavours are carefully balanced and feel authentic. I first expected it to be a ramen noodle soup shop, but it's more like great ramen with a delicious creamy sauce mixed with a variety of vegetables and tempura courgette.
The atmosphere is cosy to sit with friends, but they also do take-away. I had ramen with my non-vegan friend and he said that this was the best vegan food he'd ever had!
Pros: Great ramen, Friendly staff , Healthy and good flavours

Impossible how good it is - Edit
Everything we had was delicious, both the katsu and the tempura courses were incredible but the black garlic ramen, in my opinion, was just AMAZING! Super creamy and full of flavour, I would highly recommend it if you are in Amsterdam.

I can’t wait to go back. A small note, try to get there on an empty stomach because it’s way more filling than it looks

An experience! - Edit
Go here if you are hungry and in for a pre selected choice. I am used to a big menu with lots of choices and it is fun to try and create your own meal. But not here. Here the meal is preselected and you have a choice out of 5 different kinds of noodlesauces. It was tasty as hell but quite oily, so for the non oil lovers I would not recommend. Tasty none te less, but a few adds of vegetables would have made it great!

Pros: Dishes you won’t easily find somewhere else, Authentic , Free tea and water
Cons: A bit pricy, A waiter who could use better manners, Not a lot of choice on and about the menu

Really great ramen - Edit
It's a very cosy atmosphere (one long table), and the chef and waiter are really friendly and helpful. We were in fact blown away by how good everything was, and we were quite a diverse group of mainly non-vegans/non-vegetarians. They were very accomodating (my wife doesn't eat garlic and onion, and they made something especially for her) and the communication was clear and friendly as well. We had a great evening. Can't wait to go back!

Just had their food yesterday. It’s fresh, tasty and really nice. Don’t expect ramen soup, it’s just the noodles with lots of garnishes. Really worth trying!

Unreal innovative cuisine - Edit
Oh my gosh I love this place. It has a cosy sitting in someone's kitchen feeling where you sit at a bench, help yourself to drinks and watch the chef cook. The starters are delicious and the ramen is like no ramen I have had before. It is more of a thick creamy sauce and so full of flavour it's unbelievable. I opted for the garlic powder which was really delicious.

I love the creativity that went into this restaurant! When you order, you get a certain amount of 'points' to pick different appetizers/dishes. The chef is really charming and the food was great. Would definitely go back the next time I'm in Amsterdam!

Great food, ramen were not very typically Japanese though - Edit
OK you have to make a reservation way in advance and that surely adds to the expectations you might have about this place. I didn't like the place that much as there is only one big table for all the guests. The owner is very friendly and the food was great. The starters are incredible. The ramen were very nice, but actually not as special as I had hoped for. At least not very traditionally Japanese. But I guess most people will not care about that.

Delicious vegan food is POSSIBLE - Edit
We made reservations for men Impossible two weeks in advance as this place only works on reservations. What a great dining experience it was. One man catering army Atsushi is the chef, the waiter, and all else that is required and taken on by others in a dining establishment. He is a very gracious host that seats you and explains in detail how the menu works and where everything like drinks and hot tea is situated. Then he runs back to the kitchen to cooks the most delicious ramen and starters you could want. To order you check the box of the combination of starters and ramen you desire . You can add noodles as well if desired. It’s a different way to order but different is good and it works. We had the super spicy ramen and the super garlic ramen. Our starters were a well presented delicious beginning. The presentation was a simplistic and delicate homage to Japanese cuisine. Each small starter was amazing in its intricate flavors. An impressive start. The Ramen was so well presented it was a shame to eat it. Colorful and ample with homemade noodles and fresh ingredients all made by this one man.

This man is a magician!! - Edit
What an experience like no other. Relaxed, fun environment where you can chat with others or be left to yourself. Pay attention to how to order and get ready for fireworks of flavour in your mouth. I love the idea of no waste so we tried to order exactly how much we could eat. I felt like I was sitting at his dining room table in his home. Wish we had this in Melbourne - I would very quickly become one of their regular, local customers who have a special part on the menu! If you can book in, make the effort to visit this place. Ensure to confirm on the day you are scheduled to go, otherwise you miss out! Enjoy!

Amazing Japanese food in cute restaurant - Edit
I went here for the first time yesterday and wasn't dissappointed. I love how the chef does everything by himself. He is so friendly! The food was amazing. You can choose a menu, I'd suggest you do the beginners menu, so you can try a bit of everything😄A drink is included in the price and there's free water and tea. Absolutely love this place! (oh and go with an empty stomach, it's a looot of food!)

Amazing Ramen - Edit
Restaurant is operated by the sole chef who greets and serves guests whilst also cooking the meals. Set menu with a few variations on offer mainly around size of main and how many starters.
Read moreI took the "beginner" set menu which had one of every starter and a regular size ramen. On first sight this didn't seem like alot but I was completely full by the end an thankful I didn't order a larger size.
In terms of taste and quality the food was fantastic and not like any ramen I have had before.
Highly recommend this restaurant

Small place with a communal dining arrangement and no waste philosophy. Phenomenal ramen - probably the best I’ve ever had. All ramen and starter options are exceptional.
