The Best Plant-Based Brunch Experience in Barcelona - Edit
Morgentau was one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona. We arrived just before closing, expecting to be turned away, but instead we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality.

As her staff was preparing to close for the day, she came out, greeted us, and essentially said, “No way, we can’t close now.” After finding out we were visiting from New York, she insisted on taking care of us and made us feel like valued guests rather than late arrivals.
The entire plant-based brunch was exceptional. Every dish was beautifully presented, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The quality of the ingredients and attention to detail were evident in every bite.
To top it all off, the owner surprised us with complimentary chocolate croissants, which were absolutely delicious. That level of generosity and customer service is rare and speaks volumes about the passion behind this restaurant.
If you’re looking for an outstanding vegan brunch in Barcelona, Morgentau is a must-visit. Amazing food, incredible hospitality, and an owner who genuinely cares about her guests. Experiences like this are what turn first-time visitors into lifelong customers.

Our visit was bit underwhelming. The food was okay but a bit pricy. The staff was relatively slow in service and the food took long too. The chai latte tasted just like milk. The good sides were the solid food like the omelett, the fresh juice and the outside sitting oppurtunities.

The carrot lox and tofu scramble are two of our favourite meals we've had in the entire city, so delicious and I defy any non vegan to not enjoy it. Bonus is the meals are healthy and kept us full for the day of walking around the city

Lovely coffee, fresh juice and the antioxidant red smoothie was really tasty and refreshing

Cosy cafe offering mainly breakfast items and some pastries. We came for brunch and tried pancakes as well a French toast and the English breakfast. We had also a smoothie with dates, vanilla soy milk and coffee, which was very tasteful! Service was very friendly and attentive.

This is a lovely all-vegan brunch place! Really cute place with good vibes, really kind and friendly staff, and an awesome menu. Big portions of fulfilling brunch items. We tried the scrambled tofu with sourdough bread (with added avocado because Spain!) as well as a mushroom omelete with potatoes on the side - both were delicious! The place is a bit out of the way but well-worth a visit!

A few minutes after ordering the manager or owner dropped by to explain that they could not make our order because they were short-staffed and could not prepare everything. She came with a good proposal to make a alternative dish. We went along and got a wonderful toast with cream cheese, mushroom and peas.
Their communication and service were spot on and the food was wonderful!

The food was absolutely delicious! The coffee was great and there was a range of plant milks to choose from. We had two flavoured lattes and found the vanilla one to be especially tasty. The owner is lovely and can advise you on what to get as well as on other good vegan spots in the city.

We came here for a late brunch and had a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere was really calm and welcoming with super friendly staff, we really didn't want to leave. The food was so delicious! - we had tofu scramble and a BLT sandwich plus 'Bear Toast' for dessert (which was decorated really cutely😭). Definitely recomended, we will come back for more! 💞

I love this place! I already had breakfast there one year ago and came back because I remembered how great it was. The owner is really warm and authentic, I felt very welcome and stayed there for a few hours. The food is delicious! I tried the vegan omelette and the pancakes and both were very fresh and beautifully prepared. I will definitely come back.

We ate the blueberry pancakes, blueberry croissant and the “english breakfast”. Freaking. Amazing.

Read moreI was the only customer when I walked in and the owner could not have been nicer. Nice and chatty and helped me choose between savoury pancake and the french toast when I couldn't decide.
She also fixed me up a fresh ginger and orange juice on the house which warmed me up, and put the little heater on for me 🥹
French toast was delicious, sooooo soft and just the right amount. It's very nice when an owner is around to chat and tell you all about the food/place/other vegan recommendations etc.
If I was close by and had more time I would have visited again!
