Closed early without warning - Edit
Arrived 50 minutes before closing to be told they closed an hour early due to an evening event. No warning of early closing on website or social media - the waiter threw the website in my partner's face which said nothing about early closing. Others carried on eating, laughing at us for travelling an hour to get there.

Ramen, again! - Edit
One of the best vegan ramen in town (even, countrywide)! The place offers traditional Japanese food of great quality, with plenty of flavors. The place is pretty small but has nice vibes with a friendly and helpful staff. I will come back again for sure!

Pros: Atmosphère , Originality & presentation of dishes , Nice staff
Cons: Light portions , Desserts not sweet enough

Bon curry - Edit
J'ai pris un curry de saison au potiron avec tofu pané en supplément ; assiette très bonne mais les portions sont très petites, je n'étais pas rassasiée en sortant.

Wonderful place to taste traditional Japanese dishes - Edit
Wonderful place to taste traditional Japanese dishes in a magnificent decoration!
Read moreVery good service and the dishes are well presented.
I decided to kneel without shoes upstairs to put myself in the typical atmosphere of the land of the rising sun.
The dishes are generous and the desserts very original and not very sweet.
Even the toilets are reminiscent of Myasaki's masterpieces
A restaurant not to be missed in Paris.

Portion was too small - Edit
It is a definitely a cute place but too expensive for the portion and menu. I know it is Paris and it is one of the most popular neighborhoods. But still... I felt like I can have another meal after eating here.

Not tasty - Edit
Love the decor but the food was not so tasty. I was surprised how Katsu (deep fried veg) over the curry had no seasoning.... bento was just ok as well. Their dessert was quite nice but I really don’t understand why this place is so popular. I am Japanese maybe French prefers different flavoring?

Japanese vegan restaurant - Edit
Really tasty japanese restaurant. You can choose between three typical japanese dishes. I took a ramen, it was really good. The desserts are also really good. The staff is friendly and the place really nice. I recommend to book if you want to be sure to have a seat/table😄(by phone only)

Japonais authentique - Edit
Pros: Several authentically japanese options, Quick and friendly service, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Slightly expensive especially w/ drinks/desserts, Do not accept lunch vounchers.

Such a beautiful atmosphere, and delicious food. I will most definitely come back with friends, who are all eager to discover this place. I recommend reserving a table, takes a second and avoids waiting, the place is very successful ☺️

Good japanese food - Edit
The decoration is very nice in every corner of the cafe , with real japanese item. You can see they put a lot of efforts in it!
Read moreService was great, however we booked the tatami tables and when we arrived we couldn't sit in them because other customers were already there.
Food was delicious and really tasty! We chosed the bento and the donburi.
We found that the food portions were too small...For exemple, there were not enough vegetables compared to the rice in the eggplant donburi (only one eggplant slice).
However we're hoping to come back and have a taste to their other meals and desserts !

Authentic and savoury - Edit
The plant-based Japanese meal I've been expecting for so long! We had a Katsu Curry and a bento, then a Jelly with green tea with a matcha cookie. We ate on the terrace in a calm street. Kind staff, lovely presentation and decoration inside. A culinary travel that reminisce my friend of her trip to Japan!

Deliciously simple homemade japanese food - Edit
We had the bento and the ramen soup.
Read moreThe bento consisted of rice, aubergines (japanese-style), a couple of small salads and a few pickles. The ramen had besides the noodles, fried tofu, soybean sprouts, leek, and turnip (or daikon, I don't remember anymore), all in a soymilk broth.
Both dishes were yummy, and the waiting time was normal considering that they were fully booked. However, I did not find them nourishing enough. It felt to me as if something else was missing in the plate.
So it would've been great if they had some appetizers in their menu.
We also had the lemon/yuzu tart, and the flan with sakura sauce.
They were also tasty; but for some reason my tart did not come with cream on top, as other tarts I saw in the social media on previous days.
The flan could have been a little bit larger for the price; but the sakura sauce was delicious!
Overall, I think it's good simple homemade japanese food, but it's just not what I prefer.
In any case, please give it a go!
Pros: tasty, atmosphere, location
Cons: not a good value

The food is great and the place is absolutely lovely ! I tried the curry with the most delicious oven-baked « tofu » nuggets I’ve ever had. The Japanese flan was also delicious. Julia, the owner is a gem. You should definitely try it out !

Finally! - Edit
Yeah! A Japanese vegan restaurant/salon de thé in Paris, finally (I know there's another recent fully restaurant but this one got my heart first)!
Read moreI was the very first customer, as they opened today, June 24th. A few announced dishes wasn't available, but there were lots of other choices. And there was a lot of people waiting outside for their turn. Real success!
I took the rice-curry and the bento. Rice on both dishes, but it was great anyway.
I do recommand this restaurant (last service at 3pm), and certainly the salon de thé too.
Pros: Vegan Japanese restaurant, very rare in France, Kind staff, the decoration is very sweet, Near Bastille
