We went to Mother Vegan Bistro on a night on which they were basically fully booked with a big reservation. Instead of sending us away, though, the owners graciously and warmly welcomed us to stay. Ordered a Dakos salad and a warm dish of the day. Absolutely delicious! Also, the place is beautifully designed. And I can only repeat how absolutely lovely the owners are. Huge recommendation!

Great food and atmosphere in this small cool place. Queer friendly too. We loved loved loved the musaka, and enjoyed the quiche loren (it's not exactly a quiche but it's good) and the apple cake. All the food feels like home.. Recommend this place for sure!

First meal in Athens. After a busy day of walking finally found this place. Asked for suggestion and am thankful took metro to location. Its a mushroom mosaka, might be spelled wrong, but savory and filling. Love Happy Cow!

My friend and I went here for lunch. We had the moussaka which was incredible (and my Greek meat eating friend agreed!). It's also just a lovely cosy place in a really nice party of town. Could easily have spent the afternoon there.

We had the luxury of being the only diners here for an early dinner and really felt like we had been invited to a home cooked Greek meal. The food was very tasty but not over-flavoured as is often the case with vegan food, and filling without being heavy.
Read moreWe had a very fresh and tasty black eyed pea and pomegranate salad with fresh red onion and dill to start and a moussaka and pastitsio for mains; both were very tasty. We shared a delicious slice of apple pie for dessert (on the house).
Everything was very clean and the service was excellent. We will definitely go again next time we are in Athens.

A cosy vegan restaurant with food that looks and tastes like your mother had made it, in the best possible sense. The menu is modest, but the dishes are prepared with care. All four of us had the quiche Lorraine, which was delicious. My friends also had apple cake with ice cream (which created a slight confusion, as the waiter recommended to add ice cream to the cake, but didn't specify that it's for an extra fee), which they praised. Lovely atmosphere, too. Not only because of the dimmed lights and walls filled with art, but the staff is also very welcoming and charming.

Read moreThe owner is very kind and you can tell she loves her restaurant and what she does. We ate traditional Greek dishes, but in a completely plant-based version—delicious! We were also offered a mini velouté soup as an appetizer and a delicious white wine to accompany the desserts (which were spectacular).
