My wife and I are traveling from LA and were not sure where to go for vegan soy free food. My Mama’s Vegan was exactly what we wanted, great soul food at a great price. We both had a My Mamma Big Mac, ugh everything about it was delish! The cheese was melty, the beyond burger was cooked well and the sauce ratio was perfect! I only wish this place was closer to home.

Great vegan soul food and community focus - Edit
They do really great vegan soul food, as well as some awesome community outreach. Part of a really cool little community with other vegan places, independent bookshops and breweries like Red Emma's, Normal's, the Book Thing, Peabody Heights Brewery and more - a quick cycle or medium length walk from Hopkins Homewood campus or Penn Station

I had the “cheeseburger steak” sandwich - so yummy with a well grilled sear. It’s also messy so be prepared! You can peruse the bookstore that shares the space while waiting for food (a lot of social justice, history, Black authored books).

Best vegan food I’ve had - Edit
They have a bajillion menu choices of diner/soul food type food. I tried their Big Daddy burger (tasted very close to real meat) and chickn cheesesteak (absolutely killer highly highly recommend). The portions are very large and generous compared to other vegan eateries I’ve eaten at. Fries were also amazing and their reese’s PB cake was a humongous portion, moist, and chocolatey.

The food here was unbelievable. We had the fried chicken sandwich and the fried chicken drumsticks (seitan), which were so amazing. The texture, crispness, taste, sauce, everything! Definitely the best vegan fried chicken I’ve had. The sweet potato fries were great also!

I’m so sad I discovered this place right as I’m about to leave Baltimore. My favorite thing has to be the buffalo wings. I was worried doing carry out that it would be soggy, but remained crispy from the box! Same with the chicken sandwich! My only complaint is that it is a little pricey, but soooo good so it’s worth the splurge.

It was good overall. I didn’t give 5 stars cause some stuff wasn’t phenomenal IMO. We really liked the cauliflower wings and crab cakes (make sure you like artichokes tho) and the HIT of the night was the chicken sandwich (everyone’s favorite). The Mac and cheese had to be jazzed up with some extra nutritional yeast and garlic powder, before it just tasted like bland kraft. We will eat here again.

Wow. Recently came across this place. Tried multiple things: burgers, chicken sandwich, dorito burrito, cheesesteak, macaroni and cheese, and everything was just awesome. There was no chance for pictures, there's no way to rank them.

Some of the best in Baltimore - Edit
My Mama’s Vegan has a big presence on delivery apps, so getting their food is really convenient(so long as they aren’t too busy!) The food they make is incredibly delicious, and the star of the show is the fried chickn sandwich made with chickn fried seitan from Little Fig, a local vegan bakeshop. There’s something about the sauce that’s on it that makes me want to eat it all the time. The Mac is pretty good, although significantly enhanced when you throw some of the delicious buffalo cauliflower wings on top.

Food was delicious. Has a great menu that features Crabcake sandwiches, burgers, Cher steaks, wraps, 4 different types of cauliflower bites, Mac n cheese, collards, jerk flavored cabbage. The owners are nice and down to earth. Very professional and clean restaurant.
