Nichts besonderes - Edit

Underwhelming - Edit
The plate for 2 persons was very dry, uninspired and very underwhelming. Could have profited from some more vegetables.

Our favourite place in BP - Edit
We come here all the time and love it! The waiters are super nice, they also love our dogs:) the parm pizza and fried vegan cheese are amazing but you won’t really find anything that isn’t good from the menu.

Didn't convince me - Edit
But might simply not be my thing. Didn't realize they didn't have real coffee before I got here, so my initial plans got messed up a bit and I bc they were packed (I didn't have much time due to my train back home leaving soonish) I listened to the recommendation by the waitress. So: weird combo of Mozart cake and "goulash" soup it was (surprised this was basically a veggie & bean soup, I thought they'd use meat replacements?). Both weren't really my thing and also quite expensive.
Read moreStaff is super friendly though, and there's plenty of space inside, although quite old-fashioned.

Great experience with a big variety of vegan food - Edit
It's so refreshing to look into the menu and you don't know what to order because of its many options for vegans.
Read moreSo we decided to go for a shared plate for 2. It contained falafel, sweet potato, gyros and other supplemented meat, rice, wedges and cole slaw.
The food tasted really great, but nothing outstanding. The goulash soup could have used a little bit more of authentic paprika, here it was just a normal white bean/potatoe soup. Why not try to go for a classic but vegan style?
Pros: Options

Fancy food, nice setting - Edit
Had an early evening meal here with the gf. Lots of choice - stuffed cabbage and taster platter were our choices. Followed by cake from a large selection. The platter was good to try a selection of items from the menu. I preferred some bits more than others. Service was good and tables had table cloths.

Went to several vegan restaurants in Budapest but this was by far my favourite! You could quite easily come for a simple lunch here or posh evening meal with friends.

Cons: I’m unlike to visit again as I live so far away 😭

I could not rate this place high enough! AMAZING!! - Edit
They had an absolutely huge selection of vegan baked goods, it took me forever to choose which cake to try! On top of that, they have an extensive and delicious menu, even offering some traditional Hungarian vegan food! The service is so friendly and the atmosphere inside is wonderful. My favourite vegan restaurant in the whole of Hungary!

Vegan local cuisines - Edit
The goulash here was amazing! I also tried the vegan stew which had a lot of texture, flavors and potatoes - I was surprised to see a stew like that! My husband tried the fried platter. We tried both the desserts in the menu. Both traditional ones - both mind blowing!!! #Veganuary

Excellent find - Edit
We had to have an overnight stay in Budapest en route to somewhere else. I picked the first place on the Happy Cow search and this was it. Really happy with our choice and would recommend it for their large and varied menu and really tasty food. We were 2 people and had 2 different soups and 2 different bowls - all delicious and we’d definitely go back. #Veganuary

I should've listened to the waiter - Edit
We ordered the lavish sharing platter for 2, the stuffed cabbage and the a la brasov dish. The waiter warned it was going to be too much but we thought otherwise. Oh. My. We were wrong! The lavish sharing platter was the biggest plate of food I ever received in a restaurant, it was insanely big! However, we stuffed ourselves silly because it was delicious😄we ate every last bite

My FAVOURITE restaurant in Budapest - Edit
We arrived in Budapest and immediately made our way to Napfényes Étterem. A few years ago I visited with my grandmother, a meat eating Hungarian. She said this was the best food she had while in Budapest (a difficult feat).
Read moreMy partner and I enjoyed the gyros platter, fried seitan platter, bean goulash soup, seasonal vegetable soup amongst a few other things.
We always grabbed some lovely cakes on the way out.
I will always recommend this place to others, the food is amazing, location is great and restaurant is well kept and clean.

Try their hungarian cuisine! - Edit
I was worried because I didnt have a reservation, but staff was so kind and seated me anyway. They were super friendly and gave recommendations when asked for classic hungarian desserts. The food cake surprisingly quick, despite quite a few customers being there.
Read moreThe portion size was huge, I couldnt even finish it. I reay wanted to and fought, but it was just too much. The seitan was my favourite part, it was soft and buttery, almost like real beef.
The cake was tasty as well, crumbly and soft. A bit too sweet for my liking, but I think thats Just personal preference.
Pros: Customer service , Huge selection , All vegan
