Fantastic Thai food - Edit
Visited since they have started allowing dogs during November at set times (hopefully this continues and they open up more times/days).
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic food, plenty of vegan options with a specific vegan menu to make picking what you want easy.
Had the vegan starter platter which was brilliant & I had tofu massaman curry & sticky rice and my partner had tofu pad Thai. There were also vegan desert options but we were so full we didn't try them!
A bit more on the expensive side, but worth it as the food is wonderful :)
Pros: Dog friendly, Chick'n & Tofu protein options, Separate vegan menu
Cons: A bit expensive, Dog friendly times limited

Slightly disappointing - Edit
I came here with a couple of friends as this place came well recommended, and I'm a big fan of thai food, but we were all let down. The food was good but not amazing and not worth the price tag. The layout of the restaurant was awkward, and we could barely hear each other due to there being a loud table next to us. The vegan options were extensive, though, and my friend has a peanut allergy, and they were knowledgeable and accommodating. Overall, not one that I would visit again.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the vegan range and that your friend with a peanut allergy felt safe — our kitchen takes allergies very seriously, and we’re proud to offer one of the most extensive vegan Thai menus in South Wales.
Read moreWe’re naturally disappointed to hear the food didn’t quite hit the mark for you, as we’ve spent over 20 years developing dishes that most of our guests describe as exceptional. We’re also aware this was one of your first reviews on HappyCow, so we do appreciate you giving us a try and sharing your thoughts.
We’ll take your comments on board, and we hope you might visit again — we’d love the chance to show you why so many of our regular guests travel quite a distance to dine with us.
Warm regards,

Best food in Mumbles - Edit
Excellent full vegan menu which includes both tofu and chick'n as the protein. Plenty of tasty Thai dishes and appetisers, all with excellent flavour. Atmosphere is nice enough, but some tables are too close together, and can feel a bit awkward.

Squeezed Us In - Edit
We visited on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was fully booked from opening.
Read moreOur server Jemma, managed to squeeze us in which we were super grateful for.
The atmosphere was buzzing, the service friendly and the food was the best Thai food we've had in Wales.
We had the vegan sharing platter to start, complete with chicken satay, tofu, vegetable tempura, spring rolls and prawn crackers.
For mains we had the tofu Tom Kha and chicken Thai Massaman curry. Both were packed with flavour and they didn't skimp on the tofu or chicken which is unusual in 2025, let's be honest. (The spice level could have been higher, but looking at location and clientele I see why they have lowered it a little.)
We only had an hour in the restaurant, so next time we'll know to book. 😎
Pros: Extensive vegan menu, Fake meats and tofu, Good flavour and good service
Cons: Give us the option to up the heat. ;), Not a vegan restaurant

Chuffed to bits - Edit
After never getting around to visiting their previous locations in Aberaeron, I was over the moon to find out they were opening a restaurant close to where I live. No more excuses!
Read moreWe were one of their first customers on opening night because I was such an eager beaver.
We were greeted with a warm welcome from all of the staff. The restaurant was cosy and beautifully designed.
There were a few menu items that we wanted to try that were out of stock, but we were understanding as it was their opening night and it just gives us another excuse to come back and try them!
We had the Vegan Thai Starter Platter for 2. As they were missing the vegan crackers, they kindly gave us some extra veggie spring rolls and tempura vegetables.
I had the tofu panang with jasmine rice and my partner had a meat option with egg fried rice.
The portion sizes were great and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavours were stunning!
I would definitely get the vegan starter platter again as it's a nice variety of things, especially if you're indecisive like me. My non-vegan partner also enjoyed everything on it.
I think next time I would like to try the vegan chick'n in a curry instead, as I
tend to prefer a fried or puffed tofu in my curries whereas they used just normal (seemingly not precooked) cubes of tofu. It was still absolutely delicious nonetheless!
We are so excited to visit again and are already making plans for what to order next time, and thinking of people that we would like to bring along.
Thank you Nok Nok Mumbles for a lovely experience!
Pros: Vegan options, Friendly staff, Bold flavours

Very tasty. - Edit
We were reluctant to go, but chanced it! We were surprised by the amazing authentic tastes. They had a separate vegan menu and genuinely seemed pleased to see "vegans." The portion sizes were just right, nothing too big or small, although the starters are best not shared.

Great food, nice vibe - Edit
We had eagerly deliberated the extensive menu before I had booked a table. So, I was at least 70% sure what I wanted before we arrived. Our lovely waiter (and, I think, co-owner) is vegan, so we heeded his recommendation that the "chicken" was unlike many other vegan chicken; tender and able to hold marinandes well. So, we had the satay chicken skewers to start (tender indeed, generous portions).
Read moreThe chicken penang curry (main) was flavoursome, the chicken had held the coconut milk sauce and all its flavour very well. It was hot enough - not the hottest thing on their menu, but just right for me. I doff my cap to Nok and her kitchen.
Nok Nok deserves to be well known for its exceptional and authentic Thai food and for its friendly, well informed and professional front of house. It was well worth the trip and we look forward to returning to try something else from its extensive vegan menu soon!
Pros: Flavoursome and authentic food, Extensive vegan menu, Welcoming and friendly. Nice view of harbour.

Vegan diners warmly welcomed here! - Edit
We had a great family dining experience with NokNok’s in Aberaeron as vegan diners are just as well catered for as meat eaters; there was plenty of choice for everyone (not the usual thing of the veggie and vegan members of the party only having a choice of a couple of dishes from a much bigger meat menu). We also felt reassured to hear that most of Nok’s family are vegetarian or vegan, so we had total confidence in what we were eating; we were not going to get caught out with fish sauce, prawn crackers, egg etc.
Read moreThe curries were delicious, with lovely fresh veg and a tasty Chick’n alternative. The vegetable spring rolls were handmade and out of this world. I usually steer clear of prawn crackers because of the prawns but the vegan ones served here were freshly fried and a real treat. Portions were generous, prices were fair - and we were very happy customers. This business deserves to do well; please do support it if you’re in the area.
