Great Takoyaki! - Edit
We are vegan and allergic to gluten. Until now, there were no vegan takoyaki around Namba and Shinsaibashi stations. We had given up on trying the local cuisine, but we have found the one and only takoyaki.
Read moreIt was wonderful. We ordered the takoyaki plate and the 1500 yen kushikatsu, both of which are vegan and gluten-free. The takoyaki is made with soybeans instead of wheat flour, so it is very healthy and hearty. Drinks are only 200 yen and you can make your own. My friend was pleased with the wide variety of scotch and bourbon. Gluten free beer is also available for 200 yen. Highly recommended.
Pros: affordable, All Vegan Menu Also suitable for gluten-free, Cool Place

One man Show with her delicious Takoyaki 😍 - Edit
What absolutely amazed me the most is that it’s a one-person show! The exact same person cooks, takes the orders, and handles the cashier 😆 literally everything.
Read moreI ordered a set that came with takoyaki fried rice, miso soup, and fried veggies. The queue was super long and I was starving, so I went ahead and ordered some french fries too. Surprisingly, the wait for the food wasn't actually that long! Once your order is ready, they will call your queue number for you to go down and pick it up.
As for the taste, you can really tell the ingredients are fresh. Everything was delicious and totally up to standard. The atmosphere is incredibly unique and it gives you a really cool new experience. Overall, it was fantastic 🌿 I recommend coming here!

Loved everything here - Edit
Loved the food, loved the vibes, loved the whole place, loved that the health aspects of okara was advertised. The set menu with both kushikatsu and okonomiyaki was sooo much, it includes a portion of rice as well as miso soup, so the price was more than justified for what you get. Unfortunately they don't have okonomiyaki anymore. Still highly recommend this place if you want to try vegan versions of Osaka-typical foods.

The most incredible restaurant - Edit
If you‘re in Osaka you have to visit this place! It‘s so delicious and the vibe is amazing. Shiho does everything alone and it’s still made with so much love and detail. Went there a few times already and will definitely go again when I‘m back!

This owner rocks the Takoyaki world - Edit
What can I say? It is true what they write on the internet! What a blessing to have this absolutely rockstar of a woman preparing such yummy vegan Takoyaki for you. Being based on "okara" instead of wheat or rice flour makes them even more special (and even a little more healthy-ish 😉). Also all sides of the set meal are absolutely delicious! MUST GO if you are vegan and in Osaka 💚

Amazing spot and owner does it all! - Edit
Always cool when the owner makes all your food and runs the place. Everything was great and were traditional foods that aren’t usually vegan. Fried food usually does not agree with my stomach but zero issues with her fries and tempura. Bring coins for drinks. Just wait until you see inside. Just so positive and fun!

so unique and charming! - Edit
Such a cool building…ceilings and walls covered with people’s writings and drawings! And so impressive that it’s all run by one person (and open 7 days a week)! Food was pretty good, but I wasn’t a fan of the strips of lemon peel on the rice and the salad was a bit too salty. (Not wheelchair accessible)

Special experience, special food - Edit
When you approach the shop, a huge sign out front says the Okonomiyaki has moved to a different location. So this location only serves the takoyaki (made with okara) and the kuchikatsu skewers.
Read moreWe got two of the combo sets, which has both foods, plus they have a side of miso soup, rice, and purple cabbage salad. A TON of food! In hindsight we could have ordered one and split it between the two of us. Our teenager liked only the rice, so my husband and I had to eat all the rest. And we got a side of fries.
The takoyaki is super soft and smushy, due to the texture of the okara. It was so good at first, but I got super full on it and could barely finish the last 3 pieces. The kuchikatsu veggie skewers were so good. So yummy in the dipping sauce. The rice, miso, and cabbage salad were also very good.
Overall the building is an experience in itself. You order at the storefront where the owner and chef is cooking all the meals. Then you find a seat in one of the upper 4 floors. She calls your number through a microphone system that's connected to each floor, when it's ready you go back downstairs to pick up and carry it back up to your seat. Each floor has a station with water, utensils, and extra condiments.
The whole place is covered in graffiti from visitors from around the world, as well as the owners own artwork/restaurant info and story. She was playing a mix of Nirvana and some other japanese pop (?), it was great. The men's restroom is on the first floor next to the kitchen and drink stand, where you make your own drink (prepaid when you order food), the women's restroom is on the 3rd floor and is quite spacious.
Since it's only one lady operating the whole place, there are signs to clean up after yourself and make room for the next guests.
Overall a very special dining experience, we can't wait to try the new location with the vegan Okonomiyaki.
