Decent - Edit
Brought friends to this all vegan place, hoping to impress them with vegan food - and probably not the best choice for that.

Great sandwiches - Edit
We came at what we thought was an off time - before 5 PM - but found the place was packed and busy. Nevertheless we were seated and served promptly. The sandwiches we ordered - roasted Japanese pumpkin and two focaccias - pfc seitan medallion and pan-seared french horn mushrooms were all great. The side of fries was substantial. Service was very attentive. We found it a comfortable and relaxed restaurant, if a bit noisy as it was full.

Good but not great - Edit
We had salad, burger, and fries. Quality and service were good, but somehow I was nonplussed by the food. With so many outstanding vegan options in town, merely good doesn't compare well to other places we like to frequent.

Neglectful service - Edit
Our waitstaff didn’t acknowledge us except for when we arrived and when we left! We had to get out own silverware and no straws were available.

Great vegan chicken - Edit
Nice restaurant with a variety of savory and sweet food. The vegan chicken was the best we have ever eaten! The chocolate cake was delicious but the strawberry cheesecake very very sweet, to much for us.

Perennial Favorite - Edit
I love this place, probably my favorite restaurant. The dishes I like best are: the Japanese pumpkin sandwich, the un-chicken finger basket, the seitan medallion sandwich, the raspberry crumble bar, grasshopper cookie, and mini brownies. Hubby likes the dumplings, too. Oh, and the quiche: multilayered, light but very flavorful and somehow a tiny bit eggy-tasting.
Read moreAlso, the various cheesecakes. And the pies at Thanksgiving!! You have to order them ahead of time. I bring them to my family gatherings so that there’s at least one vegan desert option and they are always a hit. I think they have 3 flavors to choose from; I love the classic pumpkin. I only hope someday they’ll add this service for Christmas/Chanukah/winter holidays.
I find the food at this location better than the downtown outpost. They are so nice here, the vibe is great, just happy vegan feels all around.
Pros: Maybe the best place on earth, Great vegan food that will please anyone
Cons: Tomatoes are always wilt-y in Caesar salad, I don’t live right above it

Amazing food. Friendly staff. They also have cakes, brownies, cupcakes. They make them there fresh in the basement. Very nice ambiance. Nice place for lunch or dinner or to meet up with a friend for a cup of tea and cake.

A longtime favorite of mine! - Edit
Peacefood Cafe is one of my favorite spots in all of New York! From their cute decor and friendly staff to the delicious menu, Peacefood is a great spot for any meal! The pfc 'chicken' tenders are fantastic, so is the burger. Some of their salad bowls are really tasty too! Great location not too far from Central Park in the UWS, and not too expensive either. I highly recommend Peacefood to anyone and everyone!

Amazing food and service to match - Edit
Extensive vegan menu with evening specials to choose from. Can recommend the un-chicken, vegan pot pie and dumplings. The servings are very generous too. They have an impressive selection of sweet treats - the strawberry cheesecake was out of this world and the best I’ve ever had! Be sure to try the gingerade too. They accept walk ins and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Located near Central Park and museums in upper west side.

An Amazing Delight! - Edit
One of the best Vegan restaurants I’ve had on the East Coast and certainly in New York! I went with a group of 5 and split multiple dishes, all were bonafide successes. I ordered some sort of Mashed potato, cauliflower and squash dinner, substituted the squash for unchicken cutlets and I was un heaven!
Read moreMy brother had the Penne Unchicken parmesan and that was probably the best dish at the table.
The others had Raw Sushi, Some Curry dish, and the pot pie, all delectable. Even had the chance to get a chocolate chip cookie.
All in all Food was 5/5. Staff was great, and atmosphere was fun and busy colorful cafe like.
Ended up spending $25 just myself with entree, dessert, tax & tip.
You should go!
Pros: ALL vegan 😍, Delicious, Friendly
Cons: Somewhat Pricey

Best vegan meal we've had - Edit
It was my and my fiancée's first time exploring New York and we found this place on Happy Cow. The staff were an absolute delight and the food. My god, I've never tasted anything like it. I can't remember the time I had a hot chocolate and it was beautiful on a cold March day surrounded by snow. As of today (March 4th 2019) they have started French Toast and its possibly the best vegan meal we've eaten in the year plus that we've switched. I had the unchicken tenders and it made our trip.
