Top restaurant in Vienna - Edit
Make sure you are in town on a Saturday for brunch. Hands down one of the best meals we have ever had- can’t stop thinking about it. It was 4 courses and we didn’t want it to end!! The carrot lox and caviar is just to die for. Plus there’s a little shop selling specialty items if you want to pick up some fixins to take home.

Himmlisch - Edit

Perfect bite to eat for those who have been craving smoked salmon since going plant based. Friendly staff and nice ambience - a romantic backstreet setting.

Cute small place - Edit
Interesting little spot with all types of assortments. Like spreads, sauces, cheeses etc. They have a cheese tasting board with drinks. Along with their traditional one lunch dish. It was super yum and light for lunch. Wish there were more options- but nice for a very light lunch.

So much cheez! - Edit
Had a wonderful lunch including the carrot “lox”. The staff was cheerful and explained the dishes and specials really well. There’s an extensive selection of artisanal cheeses as well as chocolates, spreads and crackers. A real gem !

Amazing Concepts and v Cheese - Edit
This company makes cheese out of apricot seeds which were once discarded by farmers as waste, but since gaining popularity, they actually buy from farmers now. There’s one super creamy cheese that’s like a blooming rind Camembert style and it’s amazing. I haven’t visited the shop, as I tried their products at the Vegan Mania food festival, but I loved it. They’re conscious about also water usage and how it takes less water in comparison to making cheese from almond or cashew nuts.

It really is. I wish I could buy some, but they sold out at the festival- for obvious reasons. Ugh 😍🤤

Weiter so 👍🏼

Most unique place - Edit
Didn't expect much from a small place like this, but I was so wrong. Till this day it's the best place I have ever been in. We ate chestnut soup that was something entirely new for us and it was so delicious. And I actually don't know what was like main dish but I will leave a photo of it also. On dark tasty bread caramelized onions, some spreading, toppings and a plum which sounds weird but all fit so amazingly. And later girl that worked there (I think she is an owner as well) gave as free cookies as some sort of desert. That was perfect. We couldn't ask for more. Next time I am in Vienna, I will eat there every day for sure.

You must go here! They sell a wide range of AMAZING European artisan vegan cheeses, faux gras and caviar as well as a few other vegan items such as pastes and sauces. I unfortunately did get a chance to eat there as I went early before she was serving. A must go!

Vegan fine dining bistro and shop - Edit
We had great local wine, good bread topped with carrot smoked salmon and truffle caviar and a vegan cheese platter. Everything was top notch, including the service. Note that this is not a restaurant but a shop with a bistro but it is a very charming place.

Große Empfehlung!!! - Edit

Amazing salmon alternative! - Edit
Carrot lox is the sandwich called which I tried! It looks and tastes completely the same as smoked salmon! I got a gingerbread star for free!
Read moreIt is a small shop hidden in a side street of the 1st district of Vienna. But they have a lot of plantbased cheese variations, "faux gras" which is the plantbased option of a sort of liver paste. Have a visit to that shop!

Nice place, very friendly staff. We had the legendary carrot lox sandwich topped with truffle caviar, with dill mustard and a hearty cold platter of vegan faux gras with truffle and vegan pan grease. Additionally we also ordered the small cheese plate. What can I say, it was perfect. This place is a must if you are in Vienna.
