Pergamon is a vegetarian place with couple of vegan options available. sometimes vegan option means just removing cheese from a vegetarian dish without any replacement...
Read morewe ordered couple of dishes, they were served pretty quick and looked nice. I can't say it was the best food in my life though... but i have a specific taste
what we did really enjoy were the cocktails, they're definitely worth trying! and they also have happy hour when you can drink 1 1 😏
overall, i'd say it's the most fancy veg-restaurant in Jerusalem but only because there aren't a lot of veg-restaurants in Jerusalem, really

We enjoyed our meal and will be back. I hope the pictures somewhat capture how much care was taken on the preparation and presentation of the food and cocktails. Grandma Goldie used to make stuffed cabbage, but not like this. Melt-in-your-mouth. #Veganuary

Some original dishes that catered to vegan needs even if not totally vegan. Both my sister (vegetarian) and I were quite happy! I got the stuffed onions, which were stuffed with a bulgar wheat, and a San Miguel beer on tap. Nice service, too!

Delicious small portions, moderately expensive (46-70NIS/plate), creative drinks (40-60NIS), and friendly but glacial service. The majority of the menu is vegan or can be made vegan and both are clearly labeled.

The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere next to the Jaffa street. The hostesses welcomed warmly and explained us the concept: whatever you order (starter, main dish) it will be served in the order of being done.

The taste was good but everything is extremely overpriced and we was still hungry at the end and went for a pita with falafel to another place after it. To be honest it’s ok if you don’t have other options but if you don’t want to stay hungry at the end I wouldn’t go there.

Terrible service and mediocre food - Edit
We waited for 50 mins before our first course was served. The salad was marked as “vegan option available” and all they did was removing the ricotta cheese. They offered the vegan option for the deep fried baby potatoes which essentially meant mustard instead of mayo - got nearly burned potatoes and never got any mustard! The green beans were the most insipid I’ve ever tasted and the main cabbage course never arrived after 1hr and 45min. As far as drinks, the G&T was meh! We ordered a second bottle of Pellegrino which never arrived. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you’re looking for something decent to eat in Jerusalem. Really shameful of this restaurant to offer such bad service and mediocre food.

Not one for solo diners; waited so long I left - Edit
On a solo trip in Jerusalem, stopped here based on reviews on happy cow. When I said I was on my own they said we can give you a table outside (freezing December night) although I could see free tables. When I said have you nothing inside I was reluctantly told I could have a table but it was needed back I in 90 minutes. So given a bar seat. Given a menu which has about 6 options, some of which can be made vegan. I wasn’t overly enticed but thought I’d give it a go. After 20 minutes of waiting and receiving no service I left. Shame as it has received good reports here. Only given 2 stars as that is minimum for a veggie restaurant.

Read moreCozy vegetarian restaurant, open 7 days a week, almost every dish can be veganized (basically by taking the cheese out). Serves variety of cocktails as well - be careful, cocktails with chili are spicy as hell, it’s mentioned in the menu, we had it anyway and couldn’t finish - our bad.
I don’t know what’s the secret but this very very simple food is really delicious and makes you full.
Highly recommend batata and roasted leeks.
Desserts (they always have several vegan options) are very tasty.

You can choose to order by plate or choose three, five, or seven small dishes. they also have larger entrees. Everything was really delicious and focused on one particular vegetable cooked to perfection.

Delicious! Many to most of the items of the menu are either vegan, or can be made vegan with a small change like leaving off the feta or replacing yogurt with tahini. Our server was very helpful and explained what was or could be vegan.

Cocktails are buy one get one until 9pm I believe it was. There’s a back patio that we didn’t realize was there until one of us went to the bathroom. Sitting outside out front was nice too.
