I am not from Christchurch but if I was I would eat there everyday! These days you can expect to pay $$$ for good, filling vegan food but at portershed you can expect to pay a reasonable price, get a delicious meal and leave with a full belly!! I could not recommend them more. I cant wait for my next trip in May, because I will be stopping in!

Really good food and a cosy place with the outdoor area. Missing a star as they unfortunately don't do phone/text orders or allow dogs which is a bit inconvenient for us as we always bring our pupper with us everywhere we go.

I’ve been to Portershed multiple times now and it has never managed to disappoint me. The cafe has incredible food (and a wide range of it too) and a great atmosphere. My favourite product is their sausie roll - sooo delicious!! 🤤 DEFINITELY the best vegan cafe in Christchurch.

Portershed is a vegan’s paradise! We stopped in for breakfast and had a DELICIOUS avocado sourdough toast and the granola. The toast was hands down the best I’ve ever had and the granola came with its own milk in a cute pitcher to pour over. We also picked up some treats for the road - like a caramel brownie and custard filled donut. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend stopping in!

This cafe has all sorts of vegan treats you don't come across often like doughnuts, danishes, chimichangas sausage rolls, savoury pies, and cheese scrolls. They even had a vegan Afghan, which is a Kiwi specialty but never vegan.

Wow. I don’t know what else to say that hasn’t been mentioned already. Tonnes of options. Everything delicious. Portion sizes are BIG so keep that in mind when ordering. (Their large coffee was massive). Love their little shop selling take home goodies. Had the burger and some stuff from the display case (sausage roll and steak and cheese pie). Did not have room for dessert.
