Calm and beautiful place - Edit
Small but beautiful place, all the food is prepared by one lady so the waiting time can be longer, but totally worth it. We ordered the karaage bento and ice-cream and both were excellent! Highly recommend coming here ❤️

Cute vibes - Edit
The cafe was really sweet and had great vibes. We had the sorghum burgers and an ice cream (down to the last of our cash oops, it's cash only in here!!) Really quick for one person doing everything! Super delicious, would love to come back someday

Cute little vegan cafe - Edit
Run by a solo fan of cats. The food was good. I really enjoyed the bento lunch which included miso soup, tempura vegetables, brown rice, nuggets (seitan perhaps) and potatoes.
Read moreGreat to find an entirely vegan restaurant in the area and I’m very pleased to have visited. There was a wide selection of soft drinks and it was nice to see they weren’t from your typical brands.
Reasonably priced. 3400¥ for two of us. We had two main meals, a side and two drinks.
Pros: Wide menu options , Nice tasting food
Cons: The toilet is the least accessible I’ve ever encou, It was unclear whether you are supposed to seat yo

Small cute Restaurant and everything is handled by one woman. You can choose from Burgers, Bento-Boxes and Ramen. There were also some deserts. Everything tasted delicious and was served in large portions. If you are in Nara you have to visit this place!

What a gem! - Edit
This was the sweetest little place! It is just a one woman show, so there was a bit of a wait but we didn’t mind - you could see how hard she was working and the care she put into every order.
Read moreI had the falafel bowl and it was super tasty and the falafel weren’t dry like they sometimes can be. My sister had the karage bento and she adored it!
Side note, I loved all the cat decorations, also the selection of vegan goodies you could buy to take home.

Sweet one-woman home cooking - Edit
We loved it here. It's close to the park (certainly closer than I thought a vegan place would be) and is run by one sweet lady. We arrived just before opening and had a chance to cool down in the heat and we ordered a couple of Benton boxes. There was a bit of a wait as she makes each one by herself but we didn't mind getting out of the heat. Delicious food, generous portion. It is like going to your Grandma's for lunch. It did get full quite quickly as it is a small place so you may have to wait.

Patience pays off - Edit
This is a wonderful, tiny restaurant that seems to be a one woman show. Your food is made with care, and it takes some time, but it was worth the minor wait. The karage bento was supreme!!!! And the tempura 🤤
Read moreThere were pamphlets inside the restaurant relating to animal rights issues in Japan, and a donation box for cat rescue - both of these things indicate to me that this is a "real" vegan restaurant, not just a place that is catering to the culinary demands of tourists.

Like being at home, if I could cook! - Edit
Such a cute wee cafe, decorated with so many cats! Run by one older lady who is so sweet. It felt like being at Nana's for lunch. It's just her, so if you're in a rush probably not the right place. It was worth the wait though😄

Eating here is like being invited into the clean, cozy home if a friend’s vegan grandmother! The decorations feature cats and hand-carved furnishings. The wonderful owner cooks the meals herself and they are of the highest quality!

Nice woman running it and tasty wholesome food - Edit
Food is tasty and the women running it is very sweet. She is the only staff so don’t go if you’re in a rush though. It suddenly started a summer rain storm when we there and she chased us down to give us an umbrella on the way out. Very kind, recommended if you’re visiting nara park.
