Vegan cafe est. 2018 near Nara Park. Serves ramen, hikyaku lunch, fermented germinated brown rice lunch plate, burger, curry, pizza, cake and dessert, natural yeast bread, and lunch box to go. Also has vegan soft-serve. Everything except ramen can be prepared as take-out. Also operates a vegan soba restaurant called Ramusa. Open Tue-Thu 1:00pm-4:00pm. Closed Fri-Mon. Hours are subject to change - check Instagram for latest hours.

Super aardige vrouw die het in haar eentje runt. Toch was het eten er snel en was het erg lekker. De porties zijn klein maar wel goede prijs/hoeveelheid/kwaliteit verhouding.

This place’s a gem! We arrived at 12.05 and got one of the last couple of tables available! We were advised we’d need to wait 40 mins for our food, which was fine by us. The place is quirky and feels homey, the owner (who does everything from service to cooking) is very sweet and friendly. The food was delicious. The bill was ¥5,000 for two (inc coffees and dessert). Don’t miss it on your trip to Nara!

Worth scheduling your Nara trip around - Edit
It's an excellent cafe in Nara with a couple options. I first tried to go shortly after noon but there was a long line so I gave up and came back at opening for dinner. It did take awhile because there were a decent number of people and it's just run by one person, so I wouldn't try this place if you're on a tight schedule.

Really cute lady running this restaurant alone. The food was great and the soy soft ice cream with mango was even better. English menu. When we went the for lunch we arrive 10min after opening time and there were already 4 guests. Come on time if you don’t want to wait all too long for your food (since she works alone)

Petit restaurant tenu par une dame très accueillante. J'ai l'impression qu'on est directement chez l'habitant. L'intérieur est cosy et rustique. Il y a également la possibilité d'y manger en extérieur sur la terrasse.
Read moreTout est préparé avec soin par la propriétaire. Il y a pas mal de choix en nourriture vegan : nous avons testé le plateau burger et le plateau avec le brown rice, tout était très bon !
Mention particulière pour la "soy meat" avec la sauce qui était excellente, et le pain du burger, qui avait une excellente consistance (je pense qu'il est fait maison).
Nous avons pu réserver le midi pour le soir, mais je pense que si vous y allez tôt vous aurez de la place sans problème.
Prévoir du temps tout de même, car la propriétaire est seule pour servir et cuisiner, donc en fonction du nombre de client, l'attente peut être plus ou moins longue.
Juste à côté du parc de Nara, un peu caché, ce restaurant est une petite pépite !

Wasn’t expecting the food to be so flavorful and delicious when I got here. It’s a one-woman show and she does everything from taking orders to cooking. The wait was about 45 minutes to get our food, but it was well-worth it. The falafel burger was crazy good!

It‘s a tiny, super cozy place. The owner is also the cook, she‘s the only one working there. I ordered the lunch set menu and it was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. If you have a chance, try the vegan soft icecream!

This place has a very cozy and welcoming feeling. The owner is super friendly, after talking a little bit of Japanese with her, she gave us a free snack!
Read moreBeen there several times, the food tastes great. I like the bento box the most. A friend also purchased neat vegan clothing, they sell cool stuff.
Although a bit pricy (normal Japanese prices) it fits Nara's atmosphere.
