Really cool concept

I love the idea of a vegetarian/vegan buffet. So cool because we weren’t sure what we wanted to eat but we stumbled upon this place and it has so many options cleared labeled with all ingredients. Gluten is listed too. They also have a counter downstairs where you can order food.

Wonderful and pay by the weight buffet

This place we stumbled across. There were plenty of options and items with gluten marked with red handled spoons. Food was tasty. Lots of seating. Love that you pay by the weight and can pick from so many things.

Petit Végo: good. Buffet not so much

I really like the counter on the main floor, the sandwiches are so good but the buffet does not hold up. It's quite expensive, the seitan texture is like mush, and the flavours are just meh

Pros: Many vegan options, Grab and go counter has good stuff

Cons: Expensive

Solid buffet option

Everything was clearly labeled in terms of whether it was vegan or contained dairy. They also noted gluten and soy. There was also a good range of dishes.

Great ambience, huge buffet, great selection of warm dishes & salads, great dessert bar, sorbets & cafe downstairs, large fridges with prepared sandwiches, salad, soups, etc.

Superbe buffet, ambiance chaleureuse!

love the concept, not as much the food

the idea of a vegan buffet is genius and resto vego does an amazing job with the setup! lots of different options and desserts and areas to sit. unfortunately i didn’t love the taste of the food too much, which is wasn’t expecting. the smoothie tasted a bit off to me and everything else was kinda meh. also expensive:(

Convenient for to-go food

Great place if you need vegan food fast and to-go. Labels clearly state if it contains milk or eggs. A life saver for my husband and I when we really needed a quick late night meal!

Pros: Quick meal, Many options

Cons: Food quality is lower than other nearby options

Pros: Les patisseries

Cons: Prix, Qualité du buffet

Love the takeout counter

Such a cute place to have a buffet style lunch or supper. Perfect place to do homework and chill. The takeout counter is perfect for a quick meal. The desserts are pretty good and they have sorbet 🥰

Veg buffet and much more

There's a buffet upstairs, a deli and takeaway ready-meals, ice cream and several seating areas, including rear and street-side patios (seasonal).
The deli has vegan wraps (I had the quinoa burrito, accompanied by a tasty salsa). Chillers are filled with vacuum-sealed packets and trays containing ready-meals and desserts. The vegan paella is really good, with lots of vegetables, rice and sausage pieces. The iced carrot cake is very good. Several vegan ice cream flavours (plus non-vegan ones), including a fruity mango.
At the buffet, the majority of cold and hot items are vegan, the daily soup is vegan, and some of the desserts are vegan, including a chocolate mousse cake and a scrumptious maple pie. I tried many of the salads and many of the hot dishes - all good. There are even vegan tourtière, quiche and vegetable pot pie. Good vegan puff-pastry items. Plates are weighed - and it’s a bit more expensive for dessert plates. Takeaway containers available. Wine, beer, cold drinks available. Some of the hot items were only lukewarm, but I enjoyed the flavours of everything.

Overpriced and sub-par

Went with my partner and got 2 plates and a small plate with small slice of carrot and brownie and was $65 — way too much for the quality of the food and selection. The carrot cake and brownie were inedible - both too sweet and dry. overall the food is OK and is an option if you’re looking to grab a plate of a variety of food (i.e, potato salad and a tempeh bbq) but quality is not great for the price and there are simply much better options in Montreal.

Pros: Lots of options , Easy to grab and go

Cons: Very expensive , Non tasty desserts

Awesome vegan buffet

I can't believe I never left a review, this is my favorite spot in town when I feel like having healthier restaurant food! Their potato salad is sooooo good. Carrot cake is 10/10, although sometimes I wish they had more vegan cakes. If you stop at petit vego downstairs, definitely try the tandoori sandwich!

Great variety

Vego has a food counter with fresh food, fridges and freezers with prep-meals. They have some nice sandwiches, hot beverages and smoothies. I like the prep-meals that can be taken at home. I especially like the vego-pâté with which you can make great sandwiches or toasts. Note, that they also have a buffet (price is by weight), but the buffets is temporarily closed because of COVID-19.

What a great safe choice of restaurant!

Delicious food, welcoming, very Covid conscious. Major changes made to ensure food and staff are shielded behind plexiglass and there are no ladles or handles in sight. Changes explained as you enter. Food choices are dished out for you by a staff member. Same great choices though there are slightly fewer now. Hand sanitizer readily available and tables and chairs are disinfected after clients leave. Only negative point: I would prefer to see staff wear masks rather than visors as the former are a safer option.

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly, spotless restaurant

Cons: Slightly fewer options , Food could be warmer, Staff wear face coverings rather than visors

Really GOOD buffet

Really good buffet where you pay by weight. Many choices BUT too many vegetarian dishes😒Wish it was more vegan, especially for desserts. Vegan cakes were amazing!

Cons: More vegetarian than vegan

Rien d’exceptionnel
