University group founded in 2013 that offers game evenings (winter) and picnics (summer) with vegan food once a month as well as other annual activities such as a hikes, BBQs, parties and more. In cooperation with Vegi-Stammtisch Saarbrücken (local ProVeg group) and Vegans for Future AKTIV - Saarland.

Great food and fun in lovely company - Edit
If you would like to try vegan food or want to get in touch wich other veggies or if you just like meeting new people and playing board games, then this student group offers a great opportunity! They organise vegan game evenings, a vegan christmas party, hikes with vegan picnics, vegan BBQs and other events on the campus and other places. It's always great fun and everyone is welcome, no matter whether you are already vegan or vegetarian or not. My first encounter with the group was at a food and information booth at my university where they offered delicious vegan food and gave away recipes and information for everone interested. I remember this day very well because I found them so friendly and inspiring! Today I'm part of the organisation team and I like it very much!

Fine vegan group for everybody - Edit
As I am not vegan or vegetarian, I have to say, that SaarVeggies is a fine group, for everybody who likes good food, good games and good company. Especially the Christmas party and the board game evenings are fun, even if the focus at the board game evenings is often more on eating und chatting, than on playing. The Team is so lovely, that even I helped out, at some special events in the summer, like the Open-door day at the University.

A great university group to connect with - Edit
I joined Saar Veggies in 2013 when I started my Bachelor's at Saarland University. I wanted to connect with other vegan and vegetarian people and socialise and make new friends. First, I visited their regular board game evening where we ate vegan/vegetarian pizza/pasta together. I then became part of the organisation team and helped organising stalls at local festivities, producing flyers, posters and managing social media and volunteers. It is not only a great for students to meet other veggies, socialise, but also to get involved, gain skills in organising events/stalls, amending recipes and cook food and have fun.

Delicious fun activities in superb company - Edit
I´m a bit biased, of course, being the co-founder of SaarVeggies, but I must say that I just love all our activities and have only the best of memories: We always share excellent vegan food and great laughs, play board and card games together or simply have a lovely chat.
