Delicious Syrian food in Porto - Edit
Loved finding syrian restaurant in Porto! Had falafel and fries and all tastes great! The place is cosy, with Fairouz and arabic music in the background that adds lots of authenticity to the place. The owner is really friendly, armenian and syrian! Totally recommendable!

Very small portions, expensive - Edit
We were serve incredibly small portions:
Read moreThat micro cabbage roll was €1,40, those olives €1,80 (for that portion it would cost less than a euro in a portuguese café), the chamuça was good but expensive, and the falafel was good but expensive considering other places, beer was craft and local but the regular one is expensive too.
We were three persons, we had to go elsewhere.
It's a shame cause the food looked good but the prices and portions are no where satisfying or honest.
Pros: Taste, Location
Cons: Serving size, Price, Dairy and meat

Some of the best mideastern food you can get - Edit
Although non-vegetarian, this restaurant is possibly the best place to eat vegetarian food in Porto. In fact, the restaurant has become a meeting place for many vegetarians and the veg menu has been increasing by the week.
Read moreThe food is excellent and the prices are low. You can even eat outside.
If you like hummus, fatouche, killis ichi, tabouleh, stuffed aubergine, etc., this is the place for you! Also be sure to ask for the semolina cake in the end (vegan).
The owner, Simon, is constantly making up new dishes, most of them vegetarian. Ask for what's being served at the moment, not all of the food is on the menu.
Some meat-eaters go there for the shawarma too, but most clients are vegetarian.

Delicious, lots of options - Edit
So many vegetarian options that can be easily veganised. The family that own it speak excellent English and are happy to help. I had the vegetarian stuffed eggplant without the cheese and it was delicious and very filling.

Yes to falafel! - Edit
I really liked the place - spacious and cozy. The falafel was very good. Baba ganoush was quite nice. I personally would not order the chip stew again, as the portion was very small.

Delicious - Edit
The place looks rather simple but has many vegan options and everything we tried was delicious. The portions could be bigger considering the price but otherwise everything else was great. Recommended for middle-eastern cuisine fans.

Great vegan option - Edit
I had very nice fresh food at this restaurant in Porto the owner can speak English and was very helpful he prides himself in making everything himself from scratch :) I ordered the hummus plate with mini pita and a falafel pita with lettuce and tomato with the spicy tomato sauce they give you to apply yourself and it was delicious it kept me full for ages was a great meal if you like Mediterranean food this is your place I recommend. Prices are very reasonable too for a place in the down town.

Good vegan options - Edit
I came here after unfortunately having to leave Epoca Porto but it taught me a lesson, for Porto anyway, that veg option restaurants can be just as good as vegan reataurants. This restaurant was also busy with 2 big tables in. The difference here is that they communicated with me and gave me drinks whilst I waited. I had falafel, pitta bread and the most delicious houmous and a kind of other nut type of houmous. It was very good indeed.

Chip stew - believe it - Edit
First night in Porto and we didn't go out until late, many places are closed on Monday so decided this looked the place to be. Well worth the walk from our apartment; friendly host who makes fresh falafels everyday which is his most popular dish. Very casual kind of place. Had some hummus to start and then an amazing stew, which was basically fries in tomato, onions, peppers, garlic... Just what was needed.

We loved Sebouh - You should too - Edit
The owner of this unassuming restaurant serves fantastic tasting food and you can tell it's all been freshly made on the premises. We had a really enjoyable selection of dishes here, served by the owner who spoke good English and was happy to tell us about the food and share a few tips on ingredients. Definitely recommended.

Whilst this place serves a little non-veg' food, the majority is vegan. It was very clean and the pictures don't do it justice. The owner and other waitress were super friendly and came over for a chat.

This place is amazing. For very low prices they offer great quality vegan/vegetarian platters (and only one non-veg Kebab on the whole menu). The staff is friendly and caring, talkative. I'll definitely return. Middle eastern food, great service and friendly prices all in vegan versions.

Falafel spot in Porto - Edit
Coming from Germany, the land of the ever-present döner and falafel, I guess I take it for granted, as falafel is not very easy to find in Portugal. But luckily this place has it covered.
Read moreThere are a lot of vegetarian options, and the owner also knows and is clear about what is vegan as well.
We had the falafel, which you can get in a wrap or a pita. The ingredients were super fresh and the price was great: €3 each. I enjoyed my meal, but my only complaint would maybe be that there wasn't enough "kick." I asked for spicy sauce, but when I later opened my wrap (we got it to go), it didn't have it, which is probably the reason I felt it was kind of bland.
Otherwise, it's still a good bargain and I would definitely recommend this spot for a quick, delicious, inexpensive bite to eat.
Pros: Fresh food, Clear vegan options, Inexpensive
Cons: Smaller portions, Not much atmosphere

If you are looking for the typical vegetarian restaurant, forget this. Sabores do Sebouh is a typical portuguese tavern.
This is a perfect place if you want to eat well and pay less.
For me, is a stop every time i come to Porto
Pros: cheap, Very good food, Is a tavern
Cons: Is a tavern
