Mega lecker

Good Falafel

Falafel was good and cheap (3.5€). It is a fairly small potion though.

Yummy and cheap

If you like peanut sauce, you’ll love this place. Plus, sandwiches are about €3-4 euros, so super good for a quick cheap meal.

Fast, cheap, filling

Tasty, well labelled vegan and veg options (quite a lot). Staff have a very funny sense of humour. The sandwiches are nice but the plates are better because the peanut sauce is better distributed over everything! makali (veggies) and falafel very good, and the tofu is nice too. Prices crazy cheap for the portion size. Service very quick. Indoor seating limited to one table, a few tables outside btu mostly caters to go.

Pros: Peanut sauce and lots of vegan options, Funny staff, Cheap and fast service

Cons: Sauce distribution poor for wraps, Not nicest place to sit

4 main vegan options

It's fast food, but I like it. They have four vegan options tofu, falafel, Fohl, Makali. These can be combined in a sandwich or platter in many different ways. everything they do is drowned in peanut sauce, but I like that. Especially good with the spicy chili sauce available.

It's unfortunate that this place also sells chicken meat, because if so much of the menu that's vegan.

Pros: Cheap, Tasty, Variety

Cons: Crowded (covid), Not so healthy, Guys could be more friendly

Honestly you need to go

I've been eating at (I think) every Sahara Imbiss since I moved to Berlin over a year ago. Friendly staff (nothing exceptional though), KILLER FALAFEL concept! So I either go for the plate (teller) or the pita "sandwich" with falafel, tofu, makali (roasted vegetables). The standard includes their infamous peanut sauce and the makali sauce. I always ask for hot sauce AND mango sauce too. We're talking four sauces, baby! My lame non-vegan friends go for the same except with halloumi instead of tofu. But no one else dares the four-sauce combo! *licks lips*
Only thing I wish they did was label their meals with numbers instead. It get's pretty boggling ordering a falafel, tofu, makali with this and that sauce, a talafel hallou makali with this and that etc. A "number 4" would have made things much more streamlined. I would've given it five stars but alas HappyCow only reserves that for fully vegan joints.

Pros: Cheap, Always soap in the toilets

Cons: Cramped, Ordering can get confusing

Simple but amazing

I ate a tofu and Mahal sandwich. It is definetly the best option if you are hungry, but not enough for a whole meal. It was extremely delicious, filled with potatoes, tofu and some other vegetables, as well as peanut sauce. The sandwich comes in a box shaped form that I didn't see like this before. I would definetly visit again next time I fancy a bigger snack.

Falafel + peanut sauce

delicious food with thick peanut sauce. Really good portion size. Every time I have visitors I take them here as it never disappoints! I would recommend the vegan teller or magali teller. Sometimes the falafel can be a bit dry so I prefer the magali teller (lots of veg with sauce/salad)

Pros: Decent vegan options

Filling food, Peanut butter is the king ingredient

Good filling food, a bit heavy for my taste though. If you like peanut butter, this is your place :)
I usually get the falafel makali, which is served with peanut sauce and grilled/fried veggies. I always though, it would be better if they used less of the sauce and more of the fresh veggies to balance the heavy taste.
The lentil soup is delicious, again maid with peanut butter.
I like that the tofu they use is organic.

amazing falafel with peanuts sauce

I was living nearby this lace for a month and I ate here a couple of times. If you like african food, falafel and peanuts, you will like the vegan mixed plate. The size of the meal is filling and the food is a bit heavy but, really delicious!

Pros: yummy, fast service, interesting flavours

Cons: a bit oily
