We had a wonderful dinner at Salvei, we were made to feel very welcome. We had the rainbow sushi roll, Vietnamese summer rolls, pizza rolls, risotto, and creamy pasta, and apple pie. And they were all freshly prepared and delicious. Plus, their cocktails were great too. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen - you won’t regret it!

Extensive menu. We tried the pad thai, the risotto and the chocolate cake. Everything was great, from staff to location, from environment to flavor, until you see the check. =D

You must try the mole chilaquiles - Edit
They combined two dishes in one. Mole and chilaquiles, the taste was really good, the only thing I was missing in this dish was a sort of protein, or mushrooms, to have a different consistency besides the chips, onions and avocado slices. But the taste was on point.

And, for desert I got an apple pie, they did tell me it wasn’t that sweet, but it just needed a little bit more of sweetness. Just a tiny bit.
Overall I’ll definitely come back to try other dishes.

I came here for a quick lunch and thought the pad Thai was ok. The veggies were good but the noodles weren't cooked right. I had seen people raving about it online but wasn't super impressed with it. Maybe it was just an off day though! It has great reviews and I wish that I had ordered more than that, but that was the only thing that I had to go off of. The service was great and I would be willing to give it another try if I was in the area again.

Really enjoyed our experience at Salvei! I enjoyed a tropical tostada and sushi roll (with marinated tomato “tuna”). The waiter recommended the ramen (not my first choice in this hot weather) that my husband loved. Definitely recommend!

We had dinner here last night. Food was delicious, we were a group of 10 people and everyone including the kids enjoyed the food. We ordered the variety of dishes and each one had different and unique flavors. We loved their satey raman soup, cauliflower tacos, vegetable summer roll, pad Thai and the burger.
Read moreIt’s small place and the staff is very friendly. The owner/chef is a very lovely person and welcoming. It was packed when we reached at around 8pm (you would expect this on big holiday weeks). Service was a little slow, but the food is worth the wait.

I had missed this place the last time I was in Playa del Carmen. The owner of Corazón Contento, which is my favorite spot in PdC, suggested that I go. I’m so happy I did. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I hadn’t had ramen or sushi in months so I opted for those instead of the Italian, Mexican, or American options. The Dragon Roll was great. A big portion. The Coconut Ramen was delicious too. A big bowl of yum. Definitely check this place out.

The food was fine (Pad Thai was a touch salty) but overpriced (220 pesos), and the serving size was a little small. The fresh Vietnamese rolls were 130 pesos for just two rolls. I figure if you're gonna charge American pricing, provide American-sized serving...?
