I 💗 Dosa - Edit
Nice find in the food court! I’m always weary of Indian places that aren’t 100% vegan. Gotta watch out for the ghee! The man insisted nothing on my plate contained dairy and it all tasted great. Dosa is my favorite and this one was super yummy.

Very tasty simple food - Edit
Delicious food that my husband and I had- the flavours blew us away. We were having a not so great day until then but this restaurant tipped the PSDs in our favour a bit. If we came across here again, we will go again.

Our first meal in KL - Edit
On our first day in KL, we naturally headed to the Petronas Towers and ended up at Suria KLCC. We got hungry and felt a bit lost after entering the food court, until we spotted the sign of Saravana Bhavan. We hadn‘t seen it on HappyCow before and we did not know it was a chain, but we were so happy to find it. We told the staff that we wanted a meal without any milk products and were recommended the thali which was a very good meal. There were many sauces to choose from, the naan was delicious, and we were totally satisfied after finishing. Considering that this was a food court meal, it was very good, even more so if you take into account that it is very cheap.
Read moreThe food court was very busy, but the area behind this restaurant was a bit more quiet, so it might be worth it to search there if you are looking for a place that is less crowded.

Branch Of SB in KLCC. - Edit
Have been to Saravana Bhavan many times before so know what to expect but it is nice to have a branch in Suria because honestly, there's not a lot of great places for a veggie to eat in this mall.
Read moreThe staff were cool, recommending the best things they had on the menu. Got pointed towards the lunch deal which for only 12 MYR was well-cooked rice with eight different sides. The curries themselves were spiced quite nicely, not just the flavoured water you normally get for that sort of price elsewhere. It's really a great deal and eating the whole thing myself, got me filled up. I did order an additional naan but this was expensive (7-8 MYR) so probably would've been better to go without.
It's part of a food court so the actual dining experience itself is obviously not great but the food was out really quickly (about 5 minutes) so it was a quick pitstop and can have no complaints considering the value.
Pros: The Usual Menu From SB, Not Many Other Options Around The Area, Good Meal Deals
Cons: It's A Food Court Area So Meh, Pricy To Order A La Carte

We love it! - Edit
We visited this the 2d time now. This reminded me on good original indian food. Dips tasteted all different and delicious. Not to spicey, as we ordered. Much Indien lokals eat here, which says enough for itself.

Food for the right price - Edit
Rate is 2.5 - best thing to do is to have a menu. When you order separate it will be more expensive. For the price you pay and the food you get it is well done. Quality wise it is bland, yet a reasonable taste. Spice level okay in the end. Accept only Cash.
Read morePros: Cheap pricing, Food was done in 3 minutes
Cons: quality not great (but what do you expect?), cash only, separate orders off their std. menu' too expensive

Expensive for what you get - Edit
I didn't like this place because first, the food was way too expensive for the small portion you get, and second, the food was not good. Just one chapati was 10 ringgits! I took 2 different dishes (dahl and curry) and they gave me only 2 small plates. My two choices were not good at all. I was very disappointed because normally Indian food is really tasty. But it was not the case!

Food is good and tasty although it's not very relaxed sitting and eating in the busy food court. the staff seem to understand vegan. Service is extremely fast as the food is all prepared already.

Good pick for lacto-vegetarians - Edit
Good pick for lacto-vegetarians. The quality of the food, and service are impressive. Serves a decent variety of mock-meat dishes as well. Garlic Mutton was especially delicious. The staff is really friendly and remembers our preferences. Recommending this, if you are in search of delicious south indian food around KLCC.

Vegetarian Indian chain outlet with vegan options - Edit
Saravanaa Bhavan is one of the better known Indian vegetarian food chains. So it is great to encounter one of their outlets (a small stall actually) in the busy food court of Suria KLCC, right at the heart of the Kuala Lumpur Twin Towers. (There are not too many places there that do offer vegetarian and vegan options). You can find them on the right side of the food court when you are coming up the escalator, close to the other vegetarian stall, Simple life.
Read moreAt first glance, it seems that they offer much the same menu as in one of their many outlets.
Prices are moderate, their set lunches start around RM 8 (~EUR 2), which is comparable to the prices of the other stalls in the food court. Of course, if you want to have a simple Roti Naan with some vegan daal, that is expensive for KL, considering that most street vendors sell this (or similar) starting at RM 2. So the suggestion is to go for their slightly more expensive, but also more substantial meals.
The staff seem knowledgeable and can advise which of their many options are vegan.
Pros: Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, Good taste
Cons: Vegan options not marked
