Geweldig vegan eten - Edit
Deze zaak is helemaal vegan. Wij aten nasi en noodles, heerlijk. Met drinken zijn ze niet zuinig. Zeer goede kwaliteit/prijs verhouding. We gaan hier van de week zeker nog eens eten!

Delicious - Edit
Food was cheap and delicious and big portions for the price! We could see rats running around and big ants on the table we ate on but that didn't bother us and the taste was great

Best Indonesian food in a beautiful location - Edit
This was the best place I went to in ubud. Small warung with few dishes on the menu and made by order so everything is really fresh. We had two drinks, a starter and two mains for 100k total. The menu also said that everything is vegan!

Loved it! - Edit
Beautiful little restaurant, slightly away from the tourist drag but I loved that as it was very peaceful, and I had a bicycle so didn't mind rolling downhill to the restaurant.
Read moreYummy food, the Mushrooms Onion skewers are to die for, I'd eat again and again.
Staff aren't that attentive, I've waited for 15 minutes for someone to grab me a menu and food orders take a while, but the restaurant is up front about this so I just took a book and enjoyed the wait 😀
There is a flight of stairs to go up for anyone with mobility concerns just a heads up.
Pros: Tranquil setting , The skewered Mushrooms..
Cons: The menu could describe things a little better

Une vraie surprise - Edit
Nous avons le plaisir de goûter des plats balinais différents de ce que l'on peut trouver ailleurs. Les plats sont très bien assaisonnés avec les épices et relevés en piment comme il faut.

Rustic, Basic Eating Experience Made Up For By BIG Flavours. - Edit
This was one of the places we had gone out of our way to bookmark before arriving in Ubud and, all-in-all, the food makes it worth it.
Read moreThey do tell you that you should allowed up to 45 minutes for each menu item to be prepared and this is not an exaggeration. Really be prepared to wait.
Food-wise, everything feels really authentic and there are some great flavours here that you're simply not going to get anywhere else. The taste of pepper in the Balinese soup is worth the visit alone and the curry has a great depth to it too. I'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms but the ones they use in their satay skewers are some of the best I've ever had and the peanut sauce just made them sing. Really tasty stuff.
The only downside is, that we ordered so many dishes and a lot of them came with the same mushroom breaded cutlets. They would've been fine on one of the dishes but to have three or four of them to go through in one meal was a bit much. It would be nice if they could vary a bit what they're putting on top of some of their menu items.
Right, with this being authentic, local, rural-style dining, there are some things that you need to be aware of being visiting. Firstly, it's open-air seating and there's no air conditioning and the fans are extremely weak. You're going to be hot and uncomfortable while you eat. Secondly, the bathroom is grim. Would definitely recommend making sure you go before setting out to the restaurant. Finally, there are rats running around, up the walls and above your head on the ceiling. Can't say whether they can get close to the kitchen but this might be something a visitor would want to be aware of.
It's also a bit of a walk from the main road. It might be worth taking a driver to get there.
Pros: Unique, Local Tastes Full Of Flavour., Incredibly Affordable Compared To Elsewhere., So Different That It's Worth The Visit.
Cons: It's A Bit Out Of The Way To Walk To., Not The Cleanest Or Most Comfortable.

traditional vegan - Edit
I loved that i was able to try some more traditional balinese food without losing important parts of the dish. As others have said the food takes a while as it is fresh and it also isn’t the easiest to find (walk way past where it says to on maps over the river and right). I also didn’t think it was saucy enough for my preference. Still very delicious and the fried mushrooms were amazing!!

Tucked away down the backstreets if Ubud you’ll find one of the best vegan restaurants. The menu is super cheap and everything is absolutely delicious. It’s also in a very picturesque spot - get down there and order the Nasi Campur, you won’t regret it!

The best!!! - Edit
Getting here was a bit of a walk from downtown, but it was so worth it! The view by the bridge as you turn towards the restaurant entrance is magical, and upon entering the traditional decor and the peacefulness of the place really takes you away.
Read moreThe menu wasn't very extensive or elaborate, but it didn't need to. We fell in love with the crispy mushrooms, and their nasi campur and noodles were delicious. We drooled with the soup we had, although I can't remember right now if it was their Siboghana soup or the Balinese one.
I wish we could go back another time to try their appetizers and desserts as well!
Pros: delicious, non-overwhelming menu, quiet beautiful surroundings

Fully vegan, delicious and super cheap - Edit
According to the menu it is fully vegan! The portions aren‘t super big but we were fine with two main courses and two starter (you definitely have to try the saté made out of mushrooms!!!). The food takes 45min because everything is homemade. And it is SO cheap! We liked the Gado-Gado and especially the Saté!

Amazing food! - Edit
This place is a must visit. It’s very calming and serene, you would not think you were so close to such a busy road. The dishes were absolutely delicious, we are already planning to go back. Everything is prepared fresh and it does say on a sign as you arrive it can take up to 45 minutes to be cooked which is fine but if you are arriving starving, you may be waiting for a little while!

Local vegan restaurant - Edit
This is a family run restaurant that uses local organic produce. Not a huge menu, but enough to return a few times. Portions and prices are very reasonable. Tried a lovely coconut milk curry with veggies, tofu, tempeh and fried mushrooms. Also the fried mushroom dish plus a piece of their banana chocolate cake, all good and tasty. Well worth the visit.

Balinese Goodness - Edit
SW is a cute restaurant set in the back of a Balinese home discreetly located off the Main Street (kinda hard to find the alley by motorbike).
Read moreThy offer a variety of vegan Balinese dishes. I tried the combination plate, Balinese soup, lumpia, and the mushroom skewers. The combo plate is great for trying a bit of everything. My favs were the curied veggies and the lilit. The fried mushrooms, I thought, were over breaded. The Balinese soup’s spices and broth were refreshing, the veggies simple. The lumpia and sauce weren’t the best. The mushroom skewers, however, had fantastic tough and charred texture and flavor.
Pros: Vegan Balinese, Large portions, great value, Balinese-owned business
Cons: Fried options are the best
