Was traveling along the M6 and looking for a place for lunch. Looked at this app and saw Simple Goodness and made the few mikes toward this amazing goodness. The place is so nice, clean friendly and the passion for vegan quality food screams. We were four all the dishes were so tasty every bit on the plats was delicious, well presented, with real understanding of flavour combinations and nutrition. I can not recommend enough.

We had a lovely lunch here during our holiday. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and rightly proud of their food and drinks. We really enjoyed the salads and the drinks were great. Go there if you can.

I believe this establishment is now entirely vegan. They use a lot of organic ingredients and consciously decide on what products they use to reduce their carbon footprint. But what of the food? It was right up our street, we both had the salad bowl with their homemade bread- try the millet bread it is so light and delicious. The salad bowls were just amazing. So well thought out and everything was delicious. The owners are wonderful and you can feel that everything they offer is straight from their heart to yours. It’s hard these days to get delicious nutritious vegan food amongst the plethora of ‘junk food’ so this was so welcome. If we loved nearby we would be here all the time. #Veganuary

Lovely clean feeling place in the Devonshire arcade with friendly owners who cared about what you chose and could tell you all about it. Besides the lovely atmosphere the food was wonderfully tasty and homely with nothing deep fried/fast food so you really had a good healthy meal. Highly recommend!

We went there on the basis of the other reviews on Happy Cow and were not disappointed. While seating is limited we managed to get a table very quickly. The food was delicious and staff very friendly . If we are in the area again we would definitely go back. We were also offered a sample of the soup of the day while waiting for our food which was a nice touch.

Was really surprised to find such a gem in a small town! Great menu, changes seasonally and a strong emphasis on healthy options. Staff were great and food was delish. Wish the hours were longer but they do a good takeaway so you can eat now and bring some home for later. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit.

This is a great little place. All the food is vegan and homemade (they even make their own milk) . We have salad bowl , mushroom stroganoff, samosas and the burger. It was all very good. The cakes were very, very good. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Definitely recommend .

Found this place via the Happy Cow App and what a find it was!. My wife (flexitarian) said it was the best vegan food she’d ever tasted. Food made with care, love and passion. Going back whenever we can to work our way though the menu. Delicious vegan cakes too

A friend recommended Simple Goodness and it did not disappoint. The welcome was so friendly and the place itself very cosy and chilled. We ordered jackfruit stew with linseed rice and sweetcorn and courgette fritters, both dishes were scrumptious, fresh food perfectly cooked. We could not resist the cakes so ordered organic coffee with a hazelnut cookie and peanut butter brownie. The cakes were awesome as was the coffee. I loved this place, the couple running it are lovely hosts and if I lived nearby I would be there all the time. Highly recommended.

I really am so happy we chose Simple Goodness in Penrith to meet with family for my daughter's birthday meal this evening. The food was absolutely amazing. Incredibly tasty, beautifully presented, great portion sizes and very reasonably priced. It is so obvious everything is made from great quality ingredients with skill, care and love. We are vegan but the family members we met aren't and they enjoyed the delicious food as much as us. We were met with a warm welcome, were really well looked after all evening and such kindness was shown to our 3 young children. Conscious, ethical and environmentally friedly choices are in evidence throughout and the only thing I am sad about is that we dont live nearer! We live over in Whitehaven but will definitely be making a short detour through Penrith whenever we head South on the m6 to collect some takeaway salad bowls (I really can't describe just how varied and tasty they were!), homemade bread and some delicious cakes. The lemon and coconut was my favourite. Absolutely amazing food and lovely people. We wish them every success!
