We made a little afternoon trip to Copenhagen and wandered around the cute neighborhood, when we saw this vegan restaurant. It’s a small takeaway in the basement and easy to oversee, but you really shouldn’t skip this one!!

I was very hungry so ordered the flatbread, the sandwich and the lentil chips as a “starter”! The flatbread was very nice, she recommended me to get it with the texmex flavors, which I did and the sandwich with bbq flavor. If you’re in the neighborhood I absolutely recommend getting the sandwich!

Friendly store owner makes fresh sandwiches and grilled paninis with a flavored shredded tofu base. The panini is more of a snack. The lentil chips are also good, we just got a bag. Not much space outside to eat though, just standing.

After tasting sloppy Joes at the plant food festival last year in Kødbyen I was determined to get myself down to the cafe and enjoy the full experience.

On this occasion, I took the Thai but I can tell you I’d love to try the other flavours.
I was given a sample of the lentil chips and if you wanna have that with your lunch you can add it on, but on this occasion I chose to take a lemon Noda and the Thai sandwich.
The sourdough bread is delicious and is from Myers bakery across the street and has some whole wheat flour in it so it wasn’t white and fluffy.
Simply delicious sandwiches.
Super nice to try somewhere new definitely going back again to try the other flavours.
Loved a opportunity to support a local business.

It’s Good But that Price for a Small Sandwich is Unacceptable - Edit
Listen, the taste is fine, quite delicious even, but the prices are simply unacceptable. Vital Foods, another vegan spot, is even more central in CPH and their (also pricey) sandwiches are 74,-.
Read moreSloppy Jo’s Deli charges an egregious 99,- for a small sandwich and 110,- with the smallest bag of lentil chips. You need two in order to be full and that would set you back 198,-.
I can’t support vegan places that are this out of touch with their pricing. Just.. no.

Yes, Sloppy Joes sandwiches tastes good. But compared to the price, it is a huge disappointment. 105 DKK for a sandwich, that should cost 50 DKK. You need at least 3 sandwiches to feel full.

Small eatery that serves sandwiches with shredded tofu filling. I tried the one with bbq flavor and was blown away with the flavors and freshness. The staff was also super friendly and you could tell that they really take pride in their product! Looking forward to trying the other flavors next time I'm in Copenhagen!

A great new addition to the city’s vegan food scene, this little basement takeaway has the recipe for a perfect lunch or snack on the go. I tried the Thai-flavoured version of the grilled flat wrap and it was delicious! Super-friendly and helpful owners, and a vibrant décor. Definitely coming back to sample the rest of the menu.
