Carb 'o plenty 🥞 - Edit
I had wanted to go to a good old-fashioned diner, and I was happy to have the chance at a place that has a few clearly listed vegan items. I came for breakfast, where the main vegan item is the banana pancakes. 🥞 They also offer some smaller items, like a vegan muffin, and later in the day they also offer a vegan burger--though if one wants to have a vegan burger in this area, why not go instead to nearby Jerrel's?
Read moreHaving read the previous review, I brought a book in case I needed to wait a long time to be served. However, my experience here was much nicer: the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the service was quick (my food came less than 15 minutes after ordering). The diner was clean and comfy, and the coffee ☕️ (from Jack's Stir Brew) was great--and as a plus, they did not charge extra for plant milk.
The serving of vegan pancakes was huge; enough for 1 1/2 to 2 meals. However, they had somewhat of an aftertaste; I don't get to eat pancakes that often, but vegan pancakes that I have had elsewhere I liked better. Pancakes are not uber-healthy in any event, and so if they are not ultra-delicious, why bother? On the positive side, there is a certain nostalgia associated with eating at a diner, and it is nice to find one that does offer some vegan food.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, attractive diner, huge portions
Cons: Pancakes are among the few vegan items, and the pancakes are merely ok-tasting

Not worth it - Edit
Charming diner in a fantastic location. It's a worthwhile spot to visit if you're a tourist, but as a New Yorker who appreciates diners, I can't personally recommend it. The service is incredibly slow and lacks attention to detail; they tend to forget things like sauces. The vegan pancakes were disappointing, but I ended up eating them anyway after the extensive wait. Additionally, the side of hash browns I ordered was both cold and meager in portion size. I had hoped to develop an affinity for this place and return in the future, but unfortunately, that won't be the case.

Didn’t get to eat here, but wish I could - Edit
Didn’t end up eating here — but we tried!
Read moreWent with patient omnis, and when staff told me their vegan pancake batter had gone bad and it wasn’t clear when they’d make more… we left. (Thanks for not serving me spoiled batter, though.)
The atmosphere was darling though — 60s diner vibes but very posh and updated. Warm glowing lights inside and gorgeous decor. Staff were kind. Mimosas on the menu on weekdays. Would have loved to eat here, but the only vegan breakfast option besides the spoiled pancakes were fruit or croissant/banana bread.

Great vibe and food - Edit
Soho diner is a great old school feeling diner, with amazing vegan options, including blueberry croissants and banana pancakes. Great coffee and really nice service.

Cute ambiance + great vegan food - Edit
I really appreciated eating in an All-Americana diner. 50s music played and I felt transported to the past. The vegan options were impressive. Albeit expensive for what they were. But they offer vegan versions of milkshakes, pie, burger, ice cream, and pancakes. Great spot to go with omni friends or family. Overall, I love this place!
