Online ordering available. Also available for Pickup and Delivery until 8PM. Open Mon-Sat 12:00-22:00, Sun 12:00-21:00. Kitchen closes one hour before closing.

Previous uodate: Still great! Had cod croquettes, fries and the relatively new fried chicken burger.
Update: Still great! The cheezy burger and fries (shared) was a great lunch.
Another update: Still great! It's been a long time since I had the ribs (starter) and they were very good.
We love Soil. The Ben Ben Noodles remain a firm favourite, and we also enjoyed the cod croquettes, smoky aubergine dip and spicy seitan sándwich. Sharing a bunch of starters is usually a winner.
Update! Now in January we've been back to try new dishes. The house-pickled Shii-take were good and my partner liked the kebab starter and (again) the spicy seitan sandwich. I tried the Tonkotsu ramen and it was excellent.
Good wine and service again!

Delicious vegan food! We had the Ban Ban noodles and the Bali salad which were both served with fresh foods. The service was very fast and friendly. You definitely need to reserve a table in advance as the place is quite small and well booked.

Really lush food ! The food was delish ! I had the Dragon Noodles - delightful! Wine selection was lush too! However tables were not cleaned and wiped after each customer and our table was quite dirty and the service wasn’t Great - more staff needed to make it run smoothly to make it a a 4/5 or 5/5 rating

We had Miso Ramen and Khao soi noodles, both had a very rich taste, exciting textures and flavours. Though it is rather expensive, the food was worth the price. The only downside is that it is a small space, would recommend to book a table in advance.

Read moreOur favourites were peanut butter curry, cheezy burger, kimchi burger, cheesy steak sandwich, Reuben sandwich, ribs and mushroom bitterballen.
The desserts are very good as well: the cheezy cake is creamy and fresh/fruity, the apple pie ‘warm’ and tasty and the snickers rich and sweet.

Out of all the vegan spots I tried in amsterdam this was my absolute favorite. Great service, great food, and good decor/ambiance. The restaurant concept is healthy fermented foods. Started our dinner with a bottle of the natural orange wine, had to try the ribs, and I had the ben Ben noodles for an entree. Everything was incredible. Don’t forget apple pie for dessert!

Delicious food, disappointing staff - Edit
Our meal at Soil was absolutely incredible, beautifully presented and delicious. However our experience was dampened slightly by the staff who were very inattentive. Initially we were greeted and served by a lovely member of staff who left just after we were given our mains, another member of staff came in who seemed a lot more interested in playing his new EP than serving customers. The restaurant was practically empty (we were 2 of the 3 people there) and we were left with our finished plates for almost 20 minutes, my partner eventually went up to the bar and ordered a dessert and then our plates were finally taken. It felt very much like we could’ve just walked out and no one would’ve even noticed (which of course we didn’t and wouldn’t do) and it sadly really did make an otherwise great experience a bit disappointing.
