Amazing - Edit
Great food and amazing service. This will be on my go-to list next time I visit Denver. Flavors were on point. Presentation was everything. A bit pricey but worth it for the food, ambiance and service — total package.

Amazing food, excellent service, cool vibe - Edit
Went to the Sunday Supper. I wish we were going to be in Denver longer so we could go again. Details like vegan fish sauce vinaigrette made with fermented pineapple. Everything was so creative. French onion soup, chimichurri roasted carrots. Plus good cocktails and mocktails and excellent service, and a fun soundtrack. Make sure to go to the restroom to check out the Bowie mural.

Delicious food and a great server with an undertone of EDM dance party - Edit
The food was delicious and my server Todd was excellent and very kind. I got the Zucca pasta dish and liked it a lot. It was a thick, corrugated pasta with brown butter, corn, and nori (seaweed). I’ve never thought about putting seaweed in a pasta dish but it worked really well. Ingredients are sourced from local farms and all pasta is made in-house. The place is has strong hipster vibes and a price tag to match. The person who greeted me first asked if I had a reservation, despite the fact that the place was nearly empty. To be fair, it was 5:45 and the place started to fill up during my time there, but in the moment it made me feel like I was underprepared for what I was stepping into. They put a strong emphasis on the $50 multi course meal option called “Feed Me,” with the undertone that it is the point of the restaurant and making a different choice is non-ideal, but then indicate that you can also order things individually if you want. All of this information was delivered with a smile and sweet personality, so no big deal - I just ordered the dish I wanted. They were also playing electronic music fairly loudly, which wasn’t horrible by any means but not my preferred experience. Parking was slightly confusing as there were conflicting signs throughout the parking area, one saying for customers only and another saying permit parking only, but both seemingly applying to the same area. There was a healthy indication that they’re inclined toward towing on both. It wound up not being a problem as I expected - the restaurant has a QR code to validate your parking, so just be sure to have your license plate number handy for that. All of this kind of made me feel like I wasn’t their target audience, but that’s more on me than them. Can’t fault them for being what they want to be, I kind of knew it would be that sort of place but it was one of the few vegan-only places in the Denver area that I hadn’t been to yet so I took the plunge. If you’re looking for a bougie farm-to-table experience, this is your place. It was delicious and I am glad I came here. I’ll just make sure I’m in the mood for the experience next time, and not drained at the end of a travel workday like I was this time.

Vegan food at its best - Edit
I've been eating at this establish for 5 years and love this place. The staff is friendly and food is phenomenal. The only reason I can understand the few bad reviews is that this place is experimental with its food and on very rare occasion, runs into an issue or a dish that is worth an 8/10 instead of a 10/10. To me the ever changing culinary exploration is incredible and so often I leave wondering how they figured out how to make a particular sauce. This is a great place to take non-vegans.

One of Denver’s BEST - Edit
I keep this in rotation when I want a special meal, and I highly suggest their ‘feed me’ coursed meal. They serve food that is seasonal and creative, always vegetable forward. I’ve noticed the food quality has increased lately, especially their pastas.

Very good! - Edit
I enjoyed my food here but was a bit disappointed in the experience. We got a couple entrees, dessert, and espresso. Really good and interesting food, incredible tiramisu with espresso. The host was super friendly, but was disappointed in the rest of the service (though it was sufficient.) The music was a little too loud for my personal liking but that’s not a big deal. Overall good experience but we were a little disappointed in the overall experience, we were expecting something different as painted by reviews and word of mouth from friends.

Creative and delicious - Edit
We came for their Sunday supper, a five course tasting menu where they make dishes out of whatever ingredients they have from the previous week. It was very fun and also very delicious. We especially enjoyed the grilled focaccia and the falafel with hummus and tahini. My partner says it might have also been the best espresso martini he’s had. Can’t wait to come back here to try their regular menu as well.

satire of what vegans eat - Edit
I've been an ethical vegan for 7 years, and struggled to find restaurants serving vegan food in some pretty vegan-unfriendly places, so I've had a wide variety of experiences with vegan food. I say that to give context when I say that this place was incredibly disappointing.
Read moreI knew from the online menu that the food was going to be primarily vegetables -- so not exactly the most balanced, filling meal, but hey I don't always eat at restaurants for properly balanced healthy food. However, I was expecting that the vegetables would be cooked in some amazing, creative ways, especially with the prices they charge. Nope. The vegetables were honestly quite sad and the flavor balances in all the dishes were off. The pasta was slightly better but still left a lot to be desired. And, the bread was cold for some reason? Not simply room temperature but actually cold, as if it had been refrigerated.
Between the pretentious atmosphere and poorly cooked vegetables, it seemed like a satire of what omnis think vegans are like and what we eat. This was disappointing rabbit food made by a lazy, unimaginative chef.

I also found Somebody People to be utterly disappointing — there is a way to do plant-forward cuisine, and I am afraid the meal we received during Sunday Supper was not it.

One of the foodiest vegan spots in town - Edit
Somebody People is a must-try for anyone who likes food. With its focus on whole plants prepared well, it’s a refreshing change of pace from the trend of fast-foodish vegan-but-not-necessarily-healthy eateries. This is arguably the best place in town for herbivores who actually like the taste of plants! Here you’ll find well-conceived slow-foodie creations with quality ingredients, good flavor and texture, and friendly table service.
Read moreThe best way to experience Somebody People is to bring friends and order a variety of dishes. This is in part to appreciate their range, and also because in our experience the menu ranges from good to great and it might take a few dishes to find your faves.
We’ve found the service here to be better than most veg places in town: warm, attentive, helpful, friendly, and on the ball (not prone to errors), and we value this human factor.
It’s on the pricier side, but reasonable value for the quality of food and service.
Recommended. Enjoy!

Beautiful dishes - Edit
What a great experience. We chose the “feed me” option fit for courses. It was fabulous. The salad, grilled bread, golden beets, broccoli dish, black lentils, pasta, tiramisu, and custard. The NA drinks were fresh and delicious. Thoughtful staff and great environment. Loved it!

Excellent place to celebrate a special event - Edit
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. They have seasonal menus that change based in what they can source locally. My husband and I ordered the " Feed me " option for $42 and $40 for gluten-free . There is a version of a sampler menu. This was a great way to sample a lot of the menu.
Read moreThe meal started with babaganush and bread. The gluten-free bread was one of the best vegan gluten-free breads I have had in a long time. Our first course was a cucumber salad with great flavors and fresh mint.
Next course was airloom tomatoes in a pesto, followed by a grilled zucchini with a great tomato sauce. Both were very flavorful and had a lot of fresh herbs. The next course was their cabbage dish, which had a little heat from the jalapeños sauce.
Next course was the main course. Rigatoni for the gluten dish and a polenta for gluten-free. Both dishes were great.
The last course was dessert gluten-free was a coconut tercota with fresh berries and chocolate nice cream.
Make sure you tell them if you have food allergies.
Pros: Great atmosphere and very accommodating staff, Local produce, made from scratch , Menu marked clearly gluten-free
Cons: Loud at times, Limited gluten-free options, 21% service fee

Disappointing - Edit
After all of the rave reviews I expected much more from this restaurant. The food was boring, the portions were incredibly small and the prices were high. Not the best combination of factors. The pasta was served undercooked. Even after sending it back, it still came out practically raw. We won’t be back.

Very unique! - Edit
I did the Sunday 5-course supper. The flavors were very unique and all the dishes were delicious. The drinks were expensive but all of them were fantastic. My kombucha-hating friend LOVED their kombucha. They use seasonal ingredients which I'm always a fan of. The staff were super friendly and professional. The dining area was rather small and packed with people, so it was quite noisy and everyone had to shout over each other. All in all a fantastic experience, but one that I wouldn't do often as it is quite expensive.

Super Salty kinda Boring - Edit
I didn’t realize that like 95% of the menu would be pasta dishes. I agree with the other review that said the food was just okay. Mine was especially salty and was basically tomato and rice. Don’t think that the expensive food was worth the price.
