Super Favorite! - Edit
Absolutely delighted to try Spicy Moon! Quirky fun atmosphere and delicious eats. I studied abroad in China and never thought I’d find vegan Chinese that was full of complex flavors. You nailed it Spicy Moon.

Every dish is delish - Edit
I took my group of non-vegan friends for Galentine's and it was delicious-- I tried all their dishes and all were so good. Repeat dishes I've had and loved are the dry pot and the dan dan noodles.

Nightmare vibe - Edit
Music with bass at ear-piercing decibles on a Friday night... Like eating in a nightclub. I really don't get who this experience is for. It's just way too much. Food is good because it's Spicy Moon.

So far so mind blowing - Edit
My second time at a spicy moon location and they do not miss.
Read moreThe dry style tofu is incredible.
The kung pao tofu is good but, being sweeter, is it a bit monotonous to eat for one person.

Expensive, overhyped, poor service, and bland food - Edit
Stopped here for lunch with medium expectations. A single Bao bun was $9. We ordered a pot of tea for the table (the menu said a pot for $4 and we had three adults at the table). Two cups of tea with individual tea bags were brought out and we were charged for both. The water was $10 which is ridiculous. The Dan Dan noodles were overcooked and not very good. The staff seemed bothered by us being there at 1pm on a Monday. They were unfriendly and never around. The only redeeming quality was that the food came out quickly and the bathrooms were clean. I will never return. It’s unfortunate I can’t give 1 star.

My wife and I ordered beef and broccoli, beef lo mein, spring rolls and potato dumplings. To say it was delicious would be a gross understatement. Absolutely incredible. What a find.

The best Asian spot in NYC i have ever been - Edit
[EN] I recommend this place so much. I found it by accident and I am grateful for that. It was the best spot in New York I have ever been. The authentic Chinese cuisine full of flavor. I have eaten the best mapo tofu in my life there. Spicy level was also similar to that of Asian cuisine. At first, the staff was not sure if it is a good idea to give us much spice, but after a few conversations, the spiciness was brought to another level.
Read more[PL] Bardzo polecam to miejsce.
Pros: Authentic Chinese cuisine, delicious food

So flavorful but very expensive for what you get - Edit
Amazing flavors but I was a bit disappointed with the amount of vegan duck in the dry hot pot especially given they charged us $7 for it and then they wanted to charge us for an extra sauce for the vegan calamari.

So good. Dan dan noodles, thai iced teas, crabless rangoon, and chop cheese spring roll (did not get a pic of this but it was my favorite dish). Amazing food and cute atmosphere. 10/10 will go again.

Unfortunately I was already pretty full when I stopped by this place, but I had to try something. The animals rights messages were so cute. The beef and broccoli was delicious. I’ve never had crab Rangoon before so that so I definitely had to try that.

Enoki Calamari 😋 - Edit
Ordered: vegan calamari, stirfry chili glass noodles with vegan beef
Read moreWonderful environment, nice music, all of the menu items looked great so it was very hard to choose. The calamari had a wonderful texture and with the lemon and the dipping sauce it hit a calamari itch I had been wanting to scratch for a long time. The glass noodles with the vegan beef were nice really good flavor and nice veggies, but I think if I come back I will try something spicier and also bring a friend so we can share more dishes to try more of the menu. Check it out if you’re in the area!
Pros: Great staff and atmosphere , Large menu, Rentable phone charging machine

2.5 - ok bit bland - Edit
Tried the Hen of the Woods bao bun, which had a crispy fried mushroom with a bit of pickled daikon in a steamed bun. Unfortunately, the dominant flavour was the frying oil, and the rest of the bun was quite bland.
Read moreThe steamed dumplings didn’t fare much better, also lacking any real depth or seasoning. I had high hopes based on the reviews, but overall found it underwhelming and overpriced for the portion sizes.
