This place is not bad at all. I was a bit saddened by the fact that the glazed doughnut, the undisputed litmus test for doughnut scrumptiousness, was sold out, but I came late, so joke’s on me.
Read moreThe doughnuts were nice! Not too sweet, which was great, and the cream doughnut which everyone recommends is very nice. Had mine in my bag for a good six hours before eating and it was still the best second best dessert I’ve had in Japan so far. Price is really fair, too. Good stuff!

Yummy oat latte - Edit
Had an iced oat latte and dippin donuts. Both were very nice, although I asked for the ‘Green Me’ matcha cream, but was given the standard cream. Took my goodies to Inokashira Park to eat, only a few meters from the store.

Nice place for grabbing breakfast if you’re going to the Ghibli Museum! I tried two donuts, a sakura and a custard one. The sakura one was delicious, the custard one was okay (wasn’t a huge fan of the custard texture, it was more like whipped cream). Coffee was good. Would love to go back to try more donuts.

I’ve been to Sunday Vegan twice, for my birthday breakfast in 2024 and 2025 - on my way to the Ghibli Museum. I love that you can see the bakery area while you sit and eat.
Read moreLast year I believe I had the raspberry filled chocolate donut and also one of the custard(?) filled. This year I grabbed the coffee old fashioned and the custard filled. I also grabbed some takeaway coffee and their banana bread to enjoy another day at the hotel. If you’re on your way to Mitaka, it’s a must stop for delicious donuts and coffee! (they also have scones and banana bread)

Not much needs to be said here. If you are in Kichijōji, you ought to visit Sunday Vegan. Lots of variety and great prices.

Proximity to Inokashira Park and easy pathing to the Ghibli Museum make this a convenient addition to a Kichijōji itinerary.

I got both the chocolate cream and lemon. Based on all the lemon love here I expected more. The chocolate cream was far superior, and was nice and cool for this hot summer!

Came here for donuts and wasn't dissapointed! They serve a variety of donuts and other pastries. I was super excited to see cream filled donuts so I got a caramel cream donut and a chocolate one, as well as a kinako donut. The cream donuts were yeast donuts with a whipped-cream style filling and the kinako donut had red bean paste inside! All three were delicious and not too sweet. Second best vegan donuts in Tokyo.

We visited for breakfast this morning and was treated to so many different varieties of donuts. The donuts were delicious, super light and warm. The coffee was also the best coffee we have had in Japan so far.

OK so many of the reviews here seem to think that these are pretty meh donuts - but they’re actually pretty bangin’, as per the recommendations on this page we got a lemon donut, and also a custard filled - which was really more of a cream filled donut but honestly - don’t care cause it was the bomb diggity! The texture of the donuts were amazing. So unique, chewy in a complimenting way. If you’re in the area (like visiting the ghibli museum) this place is a must stop for coffee and donuts. The oat latte goes hard, probably the best vegan coffee we have been able to get here in Japan.
