Didn’t live up to expectations - Edit
I’m visiting from out of town and was really excited to try this place out. Unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience for me. I ordered the garlic mushroom veggie burger on a whole wheat bun. I’d been planning on ordering a side before I got to the restaurant but nothing looked super appealing behind the counter when I was there. The bun for the burger was very soft and then when I went to pick up the burger the whole patty crumbled into pieces and fell into my lap staining my shorts! I’ve had lots of homemade veggie burgers so I’m aware the consistency can be tricky but this really disintegrated. I tried a few bites of the pieces that were left on my plate but it tasted overly salty and not fresh so I ended up throwing it all away. Love to see places offering vegan food but I guess I just got of on the wrong foot here.

Not great - Edit
Ordered take out- the Cole slaw was amazing but the tofu rice bowl was not good- the tofu was really mushy. I am hoping I just ordered wrong!

My favorite Nashville restaurant - Edit
I simply adore Sunflower Cafe. Everything on the menu is delicious, but I always come back to the protein bowl and the curried chickpea kale salad.

Loved it - Edit
We ate here a few times during both of our trips to Nashville, and each time was fantastic. The most recent time we just got a few sides, sweet potato casserole, curry chickpeas. But we've had the southern bbq burger, collards, pad thai salad, and more before. Their desserts are great too - we've tried the cookie dough and chocolate parfait. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Wish we lived closer because we'd be here all the time!

I just love this place. My go-to dishes here are the pad thai bowl or the barbecue bowl, both over sunflower brown rice. The staff is friendly, the food's always good, and it's so relaxing. Highly recommend!

Every time I go through Nashville, I make sure to stop at Sunflower. The food never disappoints. From simple dishes like the protein bowl (rice, kale, and beans) to fun options you never get anywhere else like crab cakes, you are in for a treat!

We enjoy their vegan dishes, unfortunately we don't frequent them as often as we should, due to the Wild Cow being one of our all time favorite restaurants in the nation, located in the same town.

Good experience - Edit
Delicious food! I love the southwest salad the best. Have items like sautéed kale, southwest quinoa, Thai tofu, hummus, and salads. Also have a soy-free menu and ‘little sprouts’ (kids) menu, where some vegan restaurants do not. All items on menu are vegan unless dairy cheese is added.

Never had a meal I didn't like, but I especially recommend the BBQ. Try it on a bun, in a wrap, or in a quinoa bowl with Asian slaw--you can't go wrong!
