Taste Sensation - Edit
The most incredible sushi I have ever had. Each roll is large and exquisitely presented with amazing combinations of flavours. It would take several visits to taste everything on the 100% vegan menu. Even the soy sauce had a delicate unique flavour. The ambiance is top shelf and tge staff is very friendly and helpful.

Délicieux! - Edit
Un incontournable à Montréal. Leurs sushis sont créatifs et tous excellents. Ce restaurant est sur le côté dispendieux mais en vaut 100% la peine. Je vous le recommande!

Good sushi - Edit
Sushi is great and all vegan. The atmosphere is more upscale. We went on a Saturday night and had to sit at the bar because we didn’t have reservations.

Must visit - Edit
Our second visit. The first was just adults which was an amazing experience, this time we brought our kids. Our kiddos were tired from a day of being a tourist. They were so friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 4pm opening instead of our 5pm reservation and they sat us in a nice corner table with a bench -perfect for containing children and away from others. The server helped us choose some items that would be kid friendly for the littlest and kindly packed up the second half of our order when we realized we needed to get the kids home. The food was outstanding, of course.

Fun to try once - Edit
I liked this meal but I didn’t love it. I thought the food would be more creative than it was. There were a lot of colors and textures so it was definitely a feast for the eyes but flavor-wise it was kind of one-note. My omni family enjoyed their meal but did not rave about it.
Read moreIt was my first time trying vegan salmon and that was quite compelling.
The desserts were boring for me.
I had the omakase and found it was more than enough for one person!
Overall, it was good, but for the price, it should be better.
Pros: Variety of rolls, Omakase option, Ambiance
Cons: A bit heavy, Expensive, Somewhat boring taste

Incredible Vegan Sushi - Edit
With the number of vegan sushi restaurants in town, I knew I had to try one of the top rated here at Sushi Momo and I was not disappointed.
Read moreRolls here range from $10 - $18 and vary in pieces (clearly marked on the menu). They also offer in-house sashimi if you're interested in their take on mock fish. The rolls here are some of the best, with only one being just okay while the rest were fire.
Must-have: Melitzana and Sakura Rolls. The first one was the BEST with an eggplant flambée and the textures in the roll were simply perfection. Smoky, savory, and crunchy all in one go. I also loved their Sakura Roll where they used a lot of their take on fishes in a very classic, cold roll.
We also had their Geisha Roll which was also nice but on the deep-fried end. It ended up being very heavy and we would have preferred to have chosen another of the earlier futomakis instead.
Of course, can't end a meal without dessert, and their Poached Pear with Nuts was an excellent way to finish.
If you're able to dine in, please do! The decor and feel are very chic and upscale without necessarily paying high end prices for fantastic food.
Reservations are highly encouraged especially if you are coming on a busy weekend evening.

Impressive - Edit
Sought out this restaurant due to several raving reviews and was not disappointed. The cocktails were delicious and just as well thought out as the rest of the menu. Every sushi roll had various details which contributed to the overall excellence. The service was lovely. Would definitely recommend reservations, as we placed reservations and the place was packed when we arrived.

Absolument incroyable ! - Edit
Wow!

Nice - Edit
I opted for a small dinner from here. I only ordered two rolls because I wasn’t super hungry but I still wanted to try. The green machine was just okay- nothing special. I will say that the mushroom, caviar, and truffle krispy rice was delicious. I would come back and try other rolls

Extraordinary! - Edit
While I’m typically a fast eater, after every single bite of sushi momo I had to pause, savor, ponder how on earth this was so excellent, and thank the vegan goddesses for the gift of this morsel. The mushroom tartare would make the most belligerent carnivore vegan. The S.O.S sushi roll could stand for superb, orgasmic, stupendous (also legitimately spicy). The salmon sashimi could keep fish in the streams in perpetuity. Wow.

Obsessed 😍 - Edit
I absolutely adore the sushi (as do my non-vegan friends and family)! It is one of my fave restaurants- never disappoints! The atmosphere is super nice and great service too!! It’s hard to choose among so many sushis so I usually get the chef’s selection of choices. It’s great to be pleasantly surprised each time! 😍

Best vegan sushi in Montreal - Edit
Sushi Momo is one of my favorite restaurants in Montreal. I recommend the Omakase 4-course set menu (49$) if you're overwhelmed by all the sushi options (as we were) - that way, you get to try a bit of everything! It's definitely worth the extra 5$ on the set menu to get the mushroom tartare, which was one of the highlights of our meal. You'll get 12 pieces of sushi of many different varieties. The set menu portions were perfect - we were satiated but not stuffed. In addition to creative and aesthetic plant-based sushi, they also have a beautifully crafted cocktail menu.
Read moreThe vibe is intimate and cozy. The staff are friendly, and the service is timely. The prices are not cheap, but pretty standard for a nice sushi restaurant. I do recommend booking a table as it can get quite busy!

Meilleurs sushis vegan - Edit
that's it, j'ai trouvé les meilleurs sushis vegan de Montréal!

Inventive and delicious - Edit
It was my first time there and it was a delish. The restaurant is really nice and the setting is great for a little bit of intimacy with your group of friends. I got the croque-madame and the avocat-ail noir and each were delicious. The first made me think of ham and cheese escalope, which was unexpected for a sushi place but I really liked it. The latter was really surprising as well because you had the fried side with the rice and then the subtlety of the avocado and black garlic emulsion on top, and it worked really well. I also had a bite of the mushroom tartare with taro chips which was incredibly good and a hosomaki with shrimp, which was refreshing.
Read moreI can’t wait to come back here and try other dishes! There is a lot of choice and everything seems delicious.
I’m a bit annoyed at the amount of time we had to wait in order to have our dishes ready : we waited almost one hour which is long…
Pros: Quite a lot of choice , Delicious , Unexpected combinations
Cons: Long waiting time , Expensive

Sushi yumyum - Edit
I think I died and went to heaven!
Read moreWhen I ate meat I liked fish even though my sushi knowledge was very limited.
The location and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
For drinks I got the flower power mocktail ($11) and my spouse got the la mule en vacanes ($14) which were both refreshing.
My spouse got the 4 course omakase ($49) which started with a choice between miso soup or an oyster shooter. My spouse got the miso soup and I'm not joking that it is the best miso soup ($5 normally) I've ever had (better than anything I've had in japan). The second choice had a couple of options (gyozas, mango soba salad, tartare, or beet carpaccio) and we picked the gyozas ($12 normally) and I got the agadashi tofu ($10). The gyozas were not were gluten free but everything else was as long as you informed them so they can use tamari.
For the main dishes my spouse got 12 rolls with the chefs tasting menu which had the green machine ($10) which was incredible! It had so many different flavors. I expected to not like it because of the apples but instead had a nice flavor. The eggplant flambe crispy rice ($12) which was so gold texture wise but could have used a little more spice. I'm not sure the name of the last five rolls which were slightly fried with a spicy mayo and were just okay.
I got the queen of hearts ($11) which is probably the most interesting and flavorful dishes I've ever had. The beets taste like what I would imagine salmon to, the dill and lemon flavors are so delightful, and the cream cheese is so good! I also got the oyster mushroom, caviar, and truffle crispy rice ($11) which had so many delicious flavors.
For dessert my spouse got the brownie (included in the omakase) which was by far the fudgest brownie I've had with such good sauces but is the tiniest portions ever.
Its worth the bigger price tag and if I was to do it again I would have gotten more!
Pros: Scrumptious sushi, Must try miso, Rocking rolls
Cons: Expensive but worth it
