Clearly passionate about food - Edit
Entering at lunch time was a little anxiety provoking, long line and seemingly chaotic. Menu had clearly marked vegan items. Owner was there taking orders, answering questions, and making suggestions. They pickle their turnips in house, make their own hummus and falafel from scratch, and customize your order with delicious toppings. I got a falafel bowl with pickled turnips, toasted almonds, and parsley with garlic tahini. Holy yum! So flavorful with a great combination of textures. Even the utensil counter for to go orders is very thoughtful and includes extra condiments and toothpicks. Eco friendly packaging too! Make this place a priority!

Fried to Order Falafel - Edit
The menu clearly marks vegan items—including sides and sauces. The pita was not specifically marked—so I asked and the kitchen confirmed it too is vegan.
Read moreAll vegan dishes here engage the falafel. Fried to order, these herbaceous chickpea fritters hit a splendid balance of moisture and mealiness. Packed in a Pita ($7) with the standard lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickled cucumber, I added on (at no extra charge) pickled turnip, pepperoncini, kalamata olives, and a sweet BBQ Tahiti. It's too early to call this the best falafel in San Diego, so I'll just leave you with this saying-not-saying end.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan menu , Fried to order falafels
Cons: Lack of non-falafel based dishes for vegans

Entitled much? Such a trivial and petty reason to give a restaurant less than 5 stars. Everything they make is delicious. If any restaurant doesn’t make a certain dish you like, go explore the world and you just might find the peace that is missing from your life along the way.

Hi Happycowsoldmyinfo,
Read moreI **wish** I could give Tahiti 5 stars but the most anyone on Happy Cow is able to give a non-vegan restaurant is 4 out of 5. Hence I've given them the maximum the system will allow. I encourage you to leave your own positive review! Thanks for reading and caring so much for the quality of my life.
